Got His Ears Taped 2 Attachment(s) Gizmo went to the vet today. Got his 3rd set of shots and his ears taped. As you can see in the picture he is not real pleased. He is 12 weeks and weighted 4 pounds. He is healthy and chuncky. Hope the taping works if not thats OK too. |
oh poooooor baby.... |
Oh he does not look happy, does he... Tell him it's for his own good. lol |
my my, he looks quite irritated. haha poor guy! |
:D CUTE!! I know they can't really figure what the heck we have done to them!! I had to tape my Emma's ears as well and to do it off and on for three weeks so don't give up it will work - but like you said they sure are cute with floppy ears too :D Good luck! |
Awww...poor lil guy...He does not look too happy... I just let Sammi's ears be floppy...I think they are cute...Gives her character! LOL! |
Well - at least you know it doesn't hurt. He just doesn't like it. Tell him, he ought to try getting a permanent and getting his nails done sometime. We women go through a lot more than that all the time! My 8-week old pup's ears were up when I got him and then they went down. A month or so later, I removed a lot of hair off his ears (weight) --and they went right up. But, they may have gone up anyway - I'll never know. And my dog has "huge ears," so there's always hope. The funny thing I noticed is that he looks much bigger with his ears up - and he is actually about two inches taller - but it's his ears adding the height. **** My dog's weight is about the same as yours - The last time I weighed him - at 17 weeks, he was 5 1/4 pounds...so, he's up and growing. He had a 12 pound mother and a 4 1/2 pound father!!!! Carol Jean |
Oh he's so cute poor baby. How long do you have to keep his ears taped? There is a boxer in the area where I live and I'd say it's been about 5 months and his ears are still taped. I was wondering if it was a home job because it seemed like such a long time. |
The vet said a week if he leaves it on that long. He is not messing with them much. we may have to retape if they don't stand, but I don't know if I will. We had shaved his ears a week ago but it made no difference in them standing. But, he is not too upset running, playing and eating and doing his sitting and leash training really good. This is the first time his eyes have ever shown up green in a picture they are usually blue. Go figure. |
He's so cute!!!! Please give him a YT hug!!!! :D :D :D |
How cute! Looks like pig tails! :p |
So, wait.....is it common to have to do this? I'm a new Yorkie mommy and had never heard of this. My little baby is almost 11 weeks old and her ears are still standing. At what age would they start to drop? I love the little perky ears! :aimeeyork |
My little Meeko has had the hair off his ears for a while now, but his ears still seem to drop a lot. Is there anything wrong with leaving them droopy, or should I have them taped? |
Cali's ears have been up since I first saw her at 6 weeks. She is now 7 months and they have stayed up. I do keep the hair of of them, but I think it just depends on the dog if the ears are up or down. |
Oh how cute!!!! He does no look to happy about his ears being taped. I tried to tape Rocky's left one, and well lets just say I like my hands to much to try that again. |
