Don't let a super cute puppy picture be the biggest influence on your decision (it's not easy, I know). I spent months making sure my Scottie came from a reputable breeder and not from a backyard breeder or a puppy mill etc.
If this person was rushing/pressuring you that others where lining up to buy the puppy, it's a red flag to me. Reputable breeders want to know more about you and screen you to make sure you're a good fit for their furbabies.
You can search some posts here on YT of those who unfortunately purchased puppies from unethical/business minded breeders where they LOVED the puppy to bits but after some time, the puppy had all these health issues and eventually could not be saved. I shed tears every time I come across those stories. I feel sick to the core, it's really really sad. Just feel luck you're not one of them! |
