Ice cream?? I might have made a post on this before but, do you let your your fur kids eat ice cream?? |
not human ice cream...I have let my previous dogs have the doggie ice cream but i haven't given it to Max & Sasha yet |
Not a steady diet of ice cream, and not more than about a tablespoon....we dont eat alot of ice cream around here, nit occasionally we do and they will get a bite if they want.....I would probably go to the doggie ice cream if you intend to let them have more than say, a tablespoon, a couple times a month.... |
We do the frosty paws on occasion and still only a little at a time. |
For a treat ~ maybe once a week, once every other week? Just a tablespoon or so. I haven't had any ill effects and it's excitement town when the container comes out of the freezer. |
1 Attachment(s) When I eat ice cream, Jackson always has a few licks. He also enjoys going to Rita's Italian Ice stands with us in the summer and will always get some. :) |
If I give human icecream, I only give either vanilla or strawberry, or it's fruity popsicle... within small amounts, of course. Otherwise, I'd make my own puppy pops and icecream :) I usually freeze a mix plain, fat free or low fat yogurt with fruit juice (either fresh squeezed or no sugar/additives) or fruit mash :) My babies love them XD I may add some cottage cheese for added texture. |
A tablespoon here too at the very most. And I'll mixt it with a little fruit to make him feel like he's getting a super special treat. Not often either. Once a month in the summer maybe? |
No bc we never have ice cream here, and if we do, it's like a Snicker's ice cream bar so it has chocolate. When Uni was a pup and she had never had people food before, a customer came into our shop and had a frozen yogurt. She put some on her finger and offered it to Uni. I freaked and said No! She can't have that! The lady said, it's just a lick! and proceeded to let Uni lick her finger. Man was I annoyed. Yes it's just a lick, but it's not your dog, and I just told you no! |
