How much should I spend? On a female yorkie puppy that is akc registered and will be around 5 pounds when its grown. what is the cheapest you think someone would sale a puppy like this for without losing any of the qualites I want? |
It really depends on what part of the country you are in-some places like California are expensive (isn't everything there!). I would say anywhere from $800-1200, which if she has champion lines or show dog it could be more. |
I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 give or take. |
That is very subjective depending on what "the qualities you want" are and your location. Prices vary geographically quite a bit, but you should always look for an ethical breeder with a health guarantee against genetic defects (1 yr is standard). www.dog-play.com/ethics.html is a good reference site for reputable breeder qualities and what to look for. |
I live in Southest Georgia and those prices are around what ive seen. :) |
hmm, I would also say that depends on what "quality" you are looking for, but I would do a little research on the person that you are planning on buying from.. Ask them for references, etc. They should be able to provide them. If a puppy is priced really cheap, then there is something wrong somewhere. Good luck!!! |
Thanks for all the info :) |
I see everyone here already has given you the best advice! Good luck on finding your baby girl! |
Thanks I have wanted one for years im sooo excited :) Just waiting to find the right one |
Brittany, My advice is buy from the most reputable conformation (sp?)breeder that you can afford. Think about all the years (Lord Willing) that your baby will be a part of your life. My two Yorkie girls are priceless to me, and I am so grateful to their breeders. Sheila |
