Searching for our newest family member. Hello everyone, my name is Freddy, & I'm new to Yorkie Talk. I don't currently own a Yorkie, but I'm in the process of searching for our newest family member. My wife Cristina & I are animal lovers, but have no pets. We both love the yorkie breed & think they're so adorable. My wife has wanted a yorkie puppy for the longest time. Her birthday is coming up this April... On special occasions I like to surprise her with special gifts. What better way to surprise her, then with a yorkie puppy. The expression on her face will be priceless when she sees her puppy for the first time... It's definitely going to be a Kodak moment, and hopefully I'll capture it on video... As of now, I'm looking for a reputable yorkie breeder. If anyone could recommend one or help me find the newest member of our family... We would really appreciate it... Thanking you in advance. :aimeeyork |
Aww how sweet! Yes your wife will be thrilled, and with a Yorkie you will have tons of Kodak moments and video worthy times! Your life will never be the same, a Yorkie is a very special breed that will steal both of your hearts! I do not know breeders in your area, but your at the right place for someone to help you locate a breeder. Good luck, welcome and congrats on your soon to be baby! |
Welcome to YT, What a wonderful surprise this would be for your dear with. And what a caring hubby you are to want to give a sweet baby yorkie as a gift. I am formally from the Bronx, It is very hard to find a GOOD Ethical breeder with in the 5 Boros. I advise to stay away from "The Puppy Boutique" 8002 17th Ave, Bklyn, NY (Bensonhurst) This is NOT a breeder, it is a BROKER, meaning they buy litter of puppies from puppy mills. They charge top dollar ($2000) for puppy mills pups. Ppl living in the 5 boro's are looking for convince when buying a puppy. You may have to spread out when looking for a healthy well bread yorkie breed by breeders that check back many generations to ensure no generic diseases that will be passed down to future puppies. Do your home work in researching a breeder. NEVER buy from a "back yard breeder" they do NO generic back ground research, they have a girl, neighbor has a boy, BRAINSTORM, hey lets mate them, sell them, make lots of money. And what you get is a puppy with generic problems that can cause you $1000's in medical bills. If you do find a breeder I suggest coming back to YT and give the name of the breeder, there are many members that at familiar with some breeders and can find some Red Flags that may want you to stay away from a breeder. Think about how far you are willing to travel for a puppy. Another suggestion, Pa, is the 2nd highest state for puppy mills, Lancaster is notorious for puppy mills. YT is here to help all ppl with all issues, and to help if they can to find a good ethical breeder. Good luck. |
