Back from NC
 
Hello everyone! Some of you might remember that I posted last week about a move that we were making to NC and that I was upset about it. Well, I must say that we got home last night from NC and not only did we find a house, but I am in LOVE with the area! I would move tomorrow if I could. I have to tie up some loose ends down here before we can move so it might be 4 months, which upsets me because the house that we like may no longer be available. However, I feel a lot better know that I now where I'm going and that I love it! I'm just dealing with being upset now because I want that house. Man, there's no pleasing a woman!! LOL Thanks for all of the words of encouragement and Michelle we will be calling you... :)

Oh I am SO excited that you liked it here and you've already got your eye on a house!!! Which area did you stay in??? Where is the house located??? What did you like best about the area??? If that house was meant for you...it will wait on you :)

congratulations! maybe the house will still be available, if not, i'm sure you will find another you love just as much. Now the hard part begins. you will be so busy getting ready to go, you wont have time to think about it!

We actually stayed in the Econo Lodge in Kannapolis because it was pet friendly, but the house is in unincorporated Cabarrus County. I think what I liked most about the area (besides the awesome schools) was the friendlyness of the people and how extremely clean it was. South Florida is not like that. Oh, and the rolling hills were gorgeous! I'm going to map your house from the house that we like..

I'm hoping that the house will still be available. We should be able to part a contract down in the next 3 weeks... :)

That is wonderful to hear! I'm so glad that you like the area. What do your kids think of the area and of moving? It sounds like Daisy already has quite the social circle up in NC!

It's in Concord.. My hubby's job is in Charlotte.. Yes, that will be a plan. I will need to find all of the dog friendly parks in NC. :)

People really are nice around here and you cannot beat the scenery!!!

My oldest loved the school. It has it's own everything, football field, baseball field, track, etc... We're not use to that here. Our school use community stuff.. He's a big sports fan, and hates the thought of leaving his beloved Miami Dolphins, but he'd said he'd get use to it.. My other two are too young to really understand.. 3 & 2...

Tell your son that he can convert to be a Carolina Panthers fan...especially if we win the Super Bowl!!! :D

We're only 39 miles away from each other if we get that house.. :) That's nothing. We could meet in the middle a lot... I can't wait!

One of my best friends lives in Kannapolis!
Its about a 3 hour drive for me.

Sounds like a convert already! You can never replace the old with the new, but adopt them unless they play the old team. Carolina has great colors as well, and the panther is a beauty! My niece is a 'gamecock' now - but we're trying to adjust!

LOL! When I was growing up I had a good friend who's whole family were "gamecock" fans and I went with them several times to see them play...lots of fun :)

You'll love NC. I've been here all my life and I would never leave. I live in Mt. Ulla and it's about a 25 min. drive to concord/kannapolis. (My aunt lives in the historic part of concord) If you live camping you only have to drive a couple hours to the mountains and you can get to Myrtle beach, SC in about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. You can't beat that.

There is a lady I met on the net recently who lives in Mt. Pleasant (about 8 miles from Concord) that just had a litter of Yorkie pups! That is about all I know about her though....I told her about YT and I think she did sign up! Don't know if she plans to have another litter though. Might be worth a check!

Tell us about the house you are looking at...and we want details :D

Michelle, that's so funny, we were writing at the SAME TIME! DaisyMae'sMom, I am happy that you have changed your mind on the NC move! It is a beautiful state, and Charlotte is a great city. Let me know when you get here so I can say "Howdy, Neighbor!"

Yes, we did go inside with a realtor. It would have a contract on it now if I didn't have loose ends here. Which, I'm bothered by also. But, such is life...
