Heart attack
 
Not sure if this is where I should post this.

Did anyone ever see their dog encounter a heart attack.
I am still not over it nor can I confront it. It just happened on Dec. 6.

I've never heard of a dog have a heart attack. My heart goes out to you. :cry::cry::cry:

We witnessed my Chihuahua that we had when I was a teenager living at home, suffer a heart attack in front of us....we grabbed him up, rushed to the vet, and this was way back in 1966....vet care is much more advanced than it was back then.....they attached him to a heart monitor the vet had acquired from a hospital, and started an IV, but that was really all they could do....and we had to put Shawn down.....he suffered another attack while there at the vet. It was a traumatic event that I will never forget. That was 50 years ago, and it is as clear in my mind's eye as if it were yesterday. I am so sorry you experienced this event....it is very hard to see this happening to something or someone you love and adore.

Oh my friend....my heart just breaks for you. I truly can't even imagine having to witness this in one of my little babies. I'm just SO very sorry for what you're feeling and going through. I wish I had a magic wand so that I could make it all go away. Big (((HUGS))) to you.

Believe me they have not gotten any further with medical for dogs....I was not informed by anyone that my little guy had a heart problem of any kind. He had is annual Vet appointment 3 months earlier and not a word was said. I will tell you more later...I am at work now and every day I try to process this...as I know that all animal owners go thru the same tragic feelings when they loose their babies. I just fell that my guy experienced something horrible that could have been avoided (not that his time had not come,,,,maybe) but it could have been much easier for him. I am so mentally and emotionally shot.

My Elvis was 8 months old and he literally dropped dead right in front of me on October 5th. I rushed him to the vet and they told me it was a heart attack. I am still in shock about it happening. I have nothing other then they said heart attack. I notified the breeder and nothing like this has ever happened that she knows of.

I am so sorry to hear this. You are in my prayers. I was afraid to post this topic. But at least we can share our tragidiy with each other. It is not good to bottle any feelings up and this is a difficult topic to discuss
