new pics of pixie 4 Attachment(s) well i am a little new to this site but i have posted pics of pixie and her are some new ones and i may be asking a difficult question but is there anyway of looking at her and estimating her age i do know she should be over 20 week because when i got her she was a rescue and all that the girl i got her from knew was that she was over 12 wks and i have had her well wednesday i will have had her 8 wks so i do not how old she is i dont know anything about her history but i do know that she is healthy and happy and spoiled rotten i have not papers or anything like that but i dont care i have a beautiful babie and thats all that matters but i was just wondering on what to expect as far as like teething and other things that come with age like maybe size so if anyone could make a educated guess i would love it and would like to let everyone know that all the babies here are lovely and make me want a house full of them but the pocket book just says cant so i will put the love for many into one and we would like to wish you all a good day one what every day you read this. thank you pixies mom :aimeeyork :lovewings |
She is a cutie . Thank you for sharing . |
omg...she's so cute!! I love her! |
Pixie is beautiful. I love her sweet face. I cant really tell about exact age. Some off the breeders here might be able to help you. Great pics. :) |
goodness is she a doll. How did a cutie like that end up in a rescue? wish I could help with the age question, but I adopted the 2 of mine when they were over a yr old from my a friend yorkiesmiles and Bubba :aimeeyork and Roxie :aimeeyork |
She is so darned precious! I too am wondering how she ended up being a rescue. She looks very healthy, bright-eyed and happy. How much does she weigh? I believe that 20 weeks old is just about right by judging her puppy coat and her head breaking white. Maybe a week younger, but I'd just go by her being 5 months old and pick a birthdate for her. Expect teeth to be coming out. Sometimes they don't lose their puppy canines before the adult ones grow in. Hopefully they will come out on their own before 8 months. You seem to have found quite a treasure there! |
OMG!!! She looks just like my baby Hayley!!!!! same facial features and all!!! Hayley was 5 months on the 14 of Jan so Iwould say your about the same age by the coat and coloring.....amazing how much they look alike!!! |
Teething will come hard and fast - provide lots of chew toys. Try to stay away from rawhide chews and bones as pieces can break off and lodge in her throat. You can go to Petsmart and buy a sterilized bone prestuffed with peanut butter or beef and that is perfect chewbone for them - it will last forever! My Matthias adores his toys - especially his "lambskin" stuffed toy with the squeeker in the middle - we have to make sure that doesn't go in this kennel at night!!! A rope toy and a Kong would be great too. |
At 4 mths they loose the bottom front teeth, or start to. At 6 months they loose thier fang teeth. Yorkies are prone to their adult teeth coming in without loosing thier baby. If she lets you look at her teeth that should give you an idea. She is very pretty congratulations. |
;) The age guess looks right about that. She IS beautiful. Cute name too. |

She's absolutely beautiful! |
Awww...Pixie is soooo cute! :D |
Pixie is a doll. I would say the estimate of 5 months is right. |
