Why does ladybug only pee once a day? She eats and drinks normally but pees between 12-12:30pm everyday. And that's the only time she goes! She goes #2 once a day also. Is that weird? I free feed her and she always has water available. What do you all think? |
I would bet that she is peeing more than once a day. Do you take her outside? When Teddy first came home with us, he was shy about doing his business and could disguise his squats very well outdoors. :) If she is a pad user and not going outdoors, I would look closely around your home for hiding spots. |
She's confined to a small area I have blocked off in the hallway. And when I have her out she's usually on my lap! Her favorite spot! Lol. |

Hmm, is she drinking enough water? Lack of hydration may cause less urinating. Even though water is left out she may not be drinking it enough. Or she's really holding it in or may have some bladder/kidney issue. I'd check with the vet if she doesn't go properly soon. My girl when I take her out does sometime do this weird "dance" with her back legs as she moves when she pees. She's not squatting but she'll tinkle on and off. It might be that too. |
when she does go, it's ALOT! But today she's gone twice already. Maybe she's still getting use to us and her new home. |
Uni doesn't usually go that often once in the day and once at night. If I don't take her out, she rarely lets me know she needs to go. I have to force her usually around noon, sometimes even later and she still won't go. She will much prefer a walk than me taking her in the backyard. I think it's her way of protesting. She also doesn't drink much water. It can be normal, and I've had Uni for over 8 years and she's always been this way. I actually worry when she wants to go more often bc then I start thinking she has UTI. After a while you will see if this is normal for her or not. |
