Help Lola started chewing on the window sill in my office and guest room she never done this before not sure what to do |
This used to be the way to go.... IDK about these days. https://www.google.com/search?q=bitt...sm=93&ie=UTF-8 |
Is she teething? |
She still has 2 baby teeth but she never chewed on this before we just purchased this home the people who lived here before had a dog and he stayed in this room I'm thinking that could be why I'm thinking |
She's still teething. Get something she can chew on & correct her when she's chewing on the things she should not & give her what's ok to chew on immediately. Dogs are exactly like human babies when it comes to teething, some days those teeth are moving & other days they are not. The days the teeth are moving they will chew on whatever feels good. |
She has plenty chew toy she doesn't chew on any of the other sill just these 2 rooms |
I'd block off that corner asap, before it gets worse. You could put some bitter apple spray or similar on it. As a puppy, they'll chew anything that feels good on their mouth... |
Try spraying the area with Bitter Apple. Grannick's Bitter Apple Original Dog Spray, 8-oz bottle Quote:

Bitter Apple works great! However, there are SOME rarely instances where a furbutt actually likes the taste... o_O I remember reading that someone soaked a small baby hand towel or something in chicken broth/water and froze it. Gave it to the pup. Worked like a charm for her. The coldness from the towel would sooth the gum. |
If bitter apple does not work, try Jalapeno juice in a spray bottle (you may have to repaint window sill later, but better than having to rewood work it). |
