hello, I'm a new member Hello, I am a new member. I have had yorkies 16 years. Gracie born in Jan 1999, who had Belvedere and Gabriel in November 2000. Gabriel had a tramatic accident in 2001 and Gracie joined him a yr and a half ago. Belvedere is the only one I have left now, he just turned 15 last week. Since I never had children to full term, he was really an empty arms baby, (he always prefers to be cradled like a baby, seriously). Im hoping he lives forever but just in case I figured I should join the group so I can learn whatever I can to keep him healthy n happy as long as possible. Im not good at posting (I detest gramar, commas, caps, spell check, and political correctness, Im not techy(?) only tags I know anything about are skin tags lol, LOve texting abbreviations, never done any social media, Im very religious and live it 24/7) so I will mostly just be reading posts, so I wont get in trouble :) Thank you for your group! |

Thank you :) Im off to search for yorkie diapers to fit my 3 lb baby, he has suddenly started squatting (this is 1st time ever squatting) wetting anywhere n everywhere n the house after not doing it on puppy pads which remived in july cuz he wasnt wetting anymore for almost a year and im selling my house so dont want poddy papers lol. I think he is getting disoreinted from being partly deaf n mostly blind. Thank you again for welcome, cant wait to read around if i ever get spare time :) |

Rather than diapers for him, which can get messy because diapers also catch stools, you need belly bands....there are people on here that make and sell them....you can get them on Amazon and you can google "belly bands"....then use a Kotex pads in them instead of a doggie diaper which are very thin and soon leak and saturate the pup.... |
Welcome, I hope you will enjoy this site as much as I do, it is very informative and you can meet lots of great people here who share the same passion for thier little doggies as yourself. |
Oh neat! Thank you, ill look it up. |
Im sure glad I joined I can sure see how helpful it is :) |
Hi and welcome. Last year I lost my 15 year old - we do not have children either and have had Yorkies for over 30 years. We lost our Gracie basically over about a 12 hour period. It ended up to be her heart. She was alright in the morning and then about 7 PM she wasn't herself and 7AM the next morning she passed in my husband's arms. It was 10 months later before I even thought and could sign another contract for a puppy. I spoke with Gracie's breeder after 4 months after she died and told her what a great little 3 lb girl she was and how we enjoyed her. A few months later she called me and tole me about a pup that she had that was going to be small and she couldn't show her because she wasn't going to be large enough and wante to place her in a home that was use to the smaller Yorkies and thought of us. We facetimed and guess what she had a brother that was also going to be small and they were very close. I wouldn't have even thought about a pup in our family with Gracie at 14/15 years old. It was 10 after we lost Gracie that we could even sign a contract for the two pups. and a year before they became into our home. Timing was right for us and we are enjoing them, just had forgotten what it was like to have a pup (now 2). You will get some good advice after carry for your baby here. My only problem when she got older was that she needed her teeth cleaned and I refused because of the procedure and glad I did. Enjoy your baby every day that you have together. |
Welcome from Arizona. I'm sure you will get lots of help here, lots of knowledge from breeders and loving pet owners. |
