Yorkie Birthdays! Every year is more special Not only did my precious Barney turn 15 this summer, but Daisy also turned 15 in September. We topped off the birthday celebrations with Teddy Bumpkins turning 7 earlier this month! I cannot believe how time just flies. I'm grateful for all the wonderful years I have had with my first two yorkies. My little Teddy Bumpkins turned my life upside down with all his problems but he's a very nice dog and we are happy he is ours. He is the namesake of my company, T. Bumpkins & Co. and the reason we started to make our washable doggie pee pads. He is still the company mascot, but he is lazy and does nothing except look cute on the website! I hope everyone enjoys the holidays w/ their babies and takes time to celebrate their birthdays when they come around because before you know it, you'll really start to feel that they won't be here forever and that is a terrible feeling. More importantly though, love them and take care of them like they are your family....because they are....and do right by them...and they'll be here fore many years to bless your every day! |
For me, every day with them is a blessing. Bubba was 10 in Jan. and Sissy was 10 in Sept. May they all have many more heathy years! |
Every year, every day we have with our pups is a blessing. This has been a tough year with friends losing their dogs at young ages. With Max 7 and Teddy not far behind, I am grateful for every day they are with me. I hope they will follow in Barney and Daisy's paw steps and be rocking seniors. :) |
I've never kept a dog longer than a few months so celebrating his birthday AND one year was such a blessing! |
Love this post/thread :) :)! |
I hope mine get to 15 years old. Toto is already 10 1/2. He came to us at 8 and even at his age he acts like a puppy. Though I can start to see his age at times. Uni is 8 and we've had her since a puppy. I can't believe it's already been that long. Seems like just yesterday. Plus I remember the purse I was carrying that day we got her bc I hid her in there when we went to a restaurant after getting her. My point is I still have the purse and still actually like it! and it's still kind of in style. LOL so it really seems like just yesterday. We make them birthday cakes each year, but I just started a few years ago. It's an egg souffle with greek yogurt "frosting" and carrots and cucumbers for decorations. They love it! |
