Yorkie owner's house hit by car Andrea Yee, the woman injured when a car hit her house Monday night November 9th on Farnsworth and Purdue in San Leandro. Her fiance, Christian Sy has given me permssion to start a gofundme page for her. Both are good friends of mine. Andrea suffered broken ribs, fracture in her spine, cuts to the face, and other internal injuries. She underwent surgery on Wednesday and is in good spirits. However, her beloved Yorkie and her litter of puppies were also in the room. 2 of the puppies passed away, while the mother yorkie has a broken spine which caused her to lose the use of her legs. The veterinarian bill already exceed 5k. As of now, our Momma Belle is doing good but she is still unable to move her back legs. We have been giving her her prescribed medications and also doing exercises to help strengthen her legs. She has a follow up appointment tomorrow to see what the next step would be. For the only puppy who survived ( we changed her name to Miracle) she is now 8 weeks old and doing well wit the care of some family members while we wait for a place to live in. Thank god she has no major injuries. If you want to read more please see the links I've attached. That is so sad!! For real, i actually got so close to crying i had to take a moment before i could type. Thank God the people are okay and at least the pup and mommy. It sucks about the two yorkies tho!! You are so amazing for taking the dogs and Miracle is THE best name you could've given it:thumbup: I hope the mom's leg gets better soon |
Oh my, that is just so horrible! To be injured that badly when your are in your own home where you are supposed to be safe is so tragic. And the poor mommy Yorkie, with a broken spine and two lost babies. And all because some person was speeding excessively! Won't be surprised to hear he had elevated alcohol or drug levels in his system. So tragic!!! My prayers to the family. |
That is so tragic. my heart goes out to the poor mama...is she still nursing the last pup? that poor little mama... |
Just giving you guys an update here; yes the driver was intoxicated and was 3 times over the normal alcohol blood level of .08. Momma Belle is still having a hard time using her legs to walk and so we purchased one of those wheels to be hooked on her and see how she does on them. She is a fighter though and is always trying to use her legs whenever walking. As for the last pup, she is doing very well and adjusting to dry puppy food. |
Hello - so very sorry to read this tragic story :(. How horrific. Just fyi, I had to edit parts of your thread as we do not allow any fundraising here at YT for individuals. |
