Umm.. I hope someone can explain this behavior to me.. 1 Attachment(s) This is 2 days work for Beowulf guys.. BF will be cutting open the wall to see what the hecks in there:confused: Attachment 408126 |
He scratched that much/deep into the wall?! Wow.. I'm thinking either there's nothing there but he heard something and just keep going back to the same spot or... Maybe a rodent family behind there. |
He sure did! I couldn't believe it. Ughh I hope not but it might be knowing the history of this breed:rolleyes: |
With cold setting in, at least around here, rodents tend to move inside if they can. There likely is or was something behind that wall. |
Ted used to lick the wall corner in the same spot but he stopped after constant correction! Hope nothing's too shocking once you open the wall |
This was so random. He was smelling, scratching, and whining around this area but at the bottom and this was like last month. I haven't seen him around this area and 2 days ago he just started digging at it when we weren't home and he did it again the next day making this bigger whole, so now we are blocking it so he doesn't get to it. It most likely is a rat but I'm hoping it's gold or money:p |
A metal detecting Yorkie huh?? Good luck with that :)! |
LOL I wish! |
It could be mice in the wall this time of year. One year we had a mouse in the kitchen and my Didi saw it, she would stand on guard in the kitchen waiting for it for hours, once for 3 hours until we made her stop. Even after we got rid of it she would stand there. Its in thier breed. Let us know what you find. |
:DOh no little Beowulf has been a busy fellow! It definitely looks like he was on a mission after something, but there again a Yorkies mischief never ceases to amaze me!;) |
My first yorkie did that a lot. And I mean a lot... But she would go out to potty in our garage and I'm not sure if she would freak out or hear mice but she made holes everywhere just like that. Is there a way for you to place a trap back there? Like an attic or something? If it's a rat or a mouse that should take care of the problem from him digging |
My now passed mighty hunter Matese ripped the bathroom molding off and started chewing at the wall while I was at work . She would cock her head as if she heard something lol. From that day on I kept the bathroom door closed. Now Cody is doing the same thing lol. Mice will get into our homes in the colder months. If he dug a hole in your wall you can be guaranteed there is or was something behind the wall. Yorkies are very determined little hunters. Ya just gotta love these little critters. lol |
