Fruits and Veggies What Fruits and Veggies does your YT like? Is it ok to give them banana? |
veggies my little babies love bite size carrots :) |
Mine LOVE: Raw String Beans Raw Baby Spinach Raw Romane Lettuce |
Harley loves to eat everything and anything. Fruits: apples and peaches Veggies: carrots, lettuce, broccolli, califlower but then again if he sees you eating anything he'll sit and tilt his head thinking he's cute so he can get some. He does love to eat fruit loops for breakfast. |
I don't think there's one Princess won't eat. She's my little health nut!   Frozen Grapes are the best in the summer! :) |
Huh! I thought I read somewhere where grapes were poison to them? Anyone? Snoodles will eat just about any fruit or veg. They are good for them too! Pat |

OH NO!!! Princess loves grapes. We freeze them for her in the summer. I guess not anymore! I'll have to find a new treat for out by the pool this year. Thanks! See you really do learn something new everyday on YT! :) |
Yeah, I knew I didn't feed her those foods. I really have to watch onions, as I cook with them, and have to remind myself not to give her the meat from it. Pat |
no nuts or tomatoes either My trainer says no nuts or tomatoes for dogs either. They are like poison. |
My scrappydoo loves his veggies and his fruit ,if i am eating it he has to have bites of what ever im eating . |
Sammi loves all fruit...Watermelon, Cantaloupe, honeydew, peaches etc....As for veggies she LOVE baby carrots....Red peppers, celery (but all in moderation) As for tomatoes...The only thing Poisionous about them is THE PLANT itself (leaves, root, stem) not the fruit the plants bloom... Sam prefers ANY fruit/veggie over meat ANY DAY! :) XoXoXo Fran and Sammi |
Carrots and bits of apples is what our fur kids receive as a snack. A friend of mine processes carrots then freezes. She gives a tad bit at each meal. I LOVE this idea since I don't have to worry about any chocking on small pieces. Oh and pears too! :D |
Bridget LOVES fruit.. apples, peaches, melon. I heard once that banana can make them constipated, but I give my baby some squished up in her kong toy every once in a great while and have never had any problems. Like they say: everything in moderation. I've never tried baby carrots, I'm afraid she'll choke on them - she has to have her treats in really small pieces. But I see that lots of folks here give those. Do you just cut them up in pieces or give them a whole baby carrot? |
Precious loves grapes...it's funny to watch her try and eat them! |
Here are some good articles re: human food... http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=1030 http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/...s&story_no=257 |

That does it, no marijuana for Shelby :D She loves all vegetables so I cook extra for the family and save leftovers for her. Zuchinni, carrotts and aspargus are her favorites. She loves bananas, apples and pears too! bad news is she cries when I open the refrigerator...begging for some vegetables. Wish my human kids would have been like her! |
cooked carrots make Bouncer go nuts! he loves them! and he loves potatoes |
Both my dogs love Caeser salad. They clean the bowl. When my one dog was a pup - it used to strip my bean plants all the time. It ate beans, played with them, and would have them all over my yard. And - yes - they do love to chew on raw carrots...and like cooked carrots too. My neighbor's dog loves frozen mixed vegetables - and will eat them before they even have a chance to thaw out! Vegtables & Fruit=Yummy Toto eats almost anything & everything and he is very healthy. Fruit he likes: whole bannana, honeydew, watermelon but in moderations(it can give them dirrehea if given to much) melon, apple (no skin), mango, pineapple i think thats all the fruit. Vegtables: greenbeans, potatoe, baby carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, etc. My mom makes him chicken & plain white rice every now & then. I eats more healthier than me actually & i have never had any problems before i guess every dog is different. :animal36 |
