Hello Karen .. Welcome to YT .. I left a message on your homepage .. |
Welcome to YT Karen, I read the post on your homepage. I agree with Wanda, you should take your little one to the vet. Hope that she gets better soon. |
Hi and welcome to YT :). I went ahead and copy/pasted your question into this thread for you. When there is a gel like substance in the poo - it's important to note the details like you did; when the gel is at the end of the poo, it usually just means they're emptying some anal gland substances -- whereas if the poo is encased, there is a possible GI issue further up in the small intestine. Poppies poo Thank you to everyone who responded to my call for help/advice on the reasons behind Poppies poo! I took her to the vets & it turned out to be Colitis, she has had acute enteritis in the past & I am wondering if this stomache/bowel problems might be a trait of this breed (Pure bred Yorkie)? Has anyone had similar problems please? It has cleared up now & I have her on Digestive Veterinary supplements by Dorwest to help alleviate any further outbreaks. Kind Regards Karen |
