Miracles So everyone who knows the struggle of my mom and Teddy's relationship knows she's 100 against him...he now spends school hours at grandmas and stays with me in evening! Moms also been warming up to him (mainly using him to dispose of doggy safe human food)! Today I was going for a neighborhood walk but she asked if we'd rather go for a walk. Teddy kept up with her and she even held the leash part of the time! :) yay Teddy! |
Congrats!! |
I don't know how anyone's heart could not be touched by these babies!! Maybe things are changing and there is a warming up to Teddy. You could ask her to help with Teddys bath sometime, she really might enjoy helping with the blow dry and brushing. Maybe she needs to feel like he's part of her life too she wanted to walk with you guys and offered to hold his leash.:)Sounds like Teddy might win her over completely. If she sees that face and those eyes enough Teddy will succeed no doubt. |
yay Teddy, a slight break through just wonderful, hope it continues and grows with your mom. |
Her only complaint now is his bad habit of getting away with pooping in the house cuz grandma just cleans it and hits him instead of my 2 min timeout where he's supposed to poo! I make sure he's on the same level of the house as me and I cut food off at 7 (idk when to do water any advice on that?) and take him out half hour after eating if he hasn't asked already |
One other suggestion, just before YOU go to bed, take him out for his last pee-pee for the night. All my puppies were 100% house broken at 7 months old, water was always left down for them. IDK what others feel about no water after a certain time, hopefully some will chime in. |

Phew....! That makes me feel better--I just get so ridiculously protective over all these little critters. So glad things are going well! |
