Mattress Stain This is both disgusting AND embarrassing....back in September of 2014 I got a new day bed to give myself space and it looks like a couch. The problem is the cover for the bed seems unable to be removed so when Teddy had a puppy accident I took shout, soap, and warm water and scrubbed it. Now I took my mattress and slept on the floor last night and I find that the cover comes off!! My mattress has a giant stain like it absorbed so much in 1 puddle and I need to know how to clean it... |
Spray it with hydrogen peroxide. It needs to be a fairly heavy (wet) coating, then let it dry. It may take more than once. |
So the stain is a year old? I'm not sure if this would work for you but I saw a method where you use a iron, hydrogen peroxide, and white towel. Basically, you pour the peroxide on the spot, put the towel on top and use the iron to "transfer" the stain onto the towel. This method worked really well for me on carpet with some of the pee stains. But I heard this might make the stain permanent for some things. So if you think it's somewhat already ruined and want to give it a try, maybe you can do it on a small section? If it works, great! If not, on to the next method... Good luck! |
