| Yorkiemom1 | 10-08-2015 12:48 PM | Welcome to YT....best of luck on your search for a HEALTHY yorkie puppy!
With that being said, try to broaden your range of where you are looking for your puppy. I am sure there are probably great breeders that can be trusted, within driving distance from you....but just don't limit your parameters! Traveling to get your puppy is the best time investment you can make....don't limit your parameter....find your excellent trustworthy BREEDER first, then see if that breeder has any babies available. If you are really "in love and impressed" with the breeder you have selected, great! Now, chances are she is not going to have puppies laying around....many of the best breeders sell their babies from waiting lists....get on her waiting list and then wait. Use the wait for time to get your supplies you need for your baby. Buy your reading material.....I always recommend "Yorkies for Dummies", and another one that I forget the name of right now!.....I think it is "Yorkshire Terriers: A Great Owners Guide" or something like that.....Be reading your books and absorbing all that information, so that when you do get your new baby, you are a step ahead in knowing what your new baby is all about! Yorkies may not even be the right dog for you...you need to know that information before you get one and are not happy about it! Go to dog shows, talk with the breeders of Yorkies and get all "loaded up with knowledge" before you step into this adventure! THAT preparation will make this experience the best it can be for you! |
