Hi all. So excited to post here. Been wanting a yorkie for awhile. Finaly got one today. He is 10 weeks and 6 days old today. His name is Remington. We been calling him Remi.

Remi is one cute yorkie. You are blessed with the love faithfulness and companionship of a dog. It is worth all the stuff we have to deal with when we own dogs. I will always have a dog. Saw a lady at the gas station . She had a yorkie in her car. I told her how cute he looked. She said yeah he is a pain in the butt. No matter what we love them.

I love the name! My husband has an English Setter and we though we were going to call him Jethro Gibbs to go with my English Setter I had at the time (she died of cancer last year). We got him and the name did not fit.

We were brainstorming names and first up was Winchester. I told my husband I could see my running down the sidewalk after him when he accidentally got out yelling Winnie! That name was vetoed. Next up was Remington. I liked the name, I told him I would have to run up the street yelling Remi, he said I was NOT calling his dog Remi. I liked it. So, he wanted Ruger. Our son was about 10 at the time and kept saying we were not calling the new dog Booger. We said, no, it is Ruger. We gave up and my husband named him Gatlin. He is 6 years old and our only big dog. He is joined by my 9 year old rescue Yorkie, Teek. Also 2 Yorkie mix puppies that are getting ready to turn 7 months very soon named Raksha and Rowan (siblings).

Good luck and please post lots of pics and ask lots of questions. They are always into mischief. Rowan is my thief. If there is something left out, he will grab it. I am constantly saying "Rowan, what do you have?" He turns to look at me with his innocent look and I tell him to give me what he has, he drops it on the floor and walks away. He is my baby though and sleeps with me, I woke up this morning and he was curled up in my arms. Teek is my old man, and my cuddle bug. He wants to always be touching me. He sleeps behind my knees and keeps me warm. Raksha is my daughter's dog and likes to be carried around like a baby and treated like she is a person and not a dog. All my Yorkies have their own personality but all are very cool in their own way.

Im new too
 

I became the proud momma to a little lady yorkie, Violette, about two months ago. Prior to Violette i had a tea cup chihuahua for 16 years. She was my everything. She lived a good life by my side 24/7. Old age and a failing liver took her from me. It was the single most hardest thing that I ever had to deal with.
I was lost without her. So it was bitter sweet when I brought Violette home. I thought that I would never love another dog the same again. But not long after I began to adore this little yorkie. She makes me laugh all day. She rides in the car on my shoulder and sleeps on my head.
She's quite the character. All the little quirky things she does I refer to this site and I quickly realized that most yorkies are just as wonderful as she.
She came to me when I was filled with sorrow and replaced it with joy. She's my 3lb fury little love bug.

Now that boy has a tongue on him! Lotsa wet puppy kisses will be coming your way!

They little bundles of love have such an incredible power to heal our hurts and bring joy to our lives.
