I've been away for a while. Forgive me.

It's taken me a long time to let my guard down and find another yorkie to share my home with after Gabby was stolen. I sat on a waiting list for another girl for a year and was apprehensive about how I'd feel. But when my breeder called me and said she's ready, I melted! I wasn't expecting to bring home a yorkie this soon but I got lucky.

OMG... that face!

She's 8 weeks and just came home yesterday after a tremendous amount of begging. We're thinking of calling her Sophie.

What a sweet little girl. Seriously how could not want another pup. Good luck with her

OMG that face is right, what a sweet lil baby she is, I would be smooching up that lil baby 24/7. Congratulations on your new little Sophie. Please keep us up-dated on her new life with her new lovin momma.

I have to admit it's an adjustment doing the 'puppy shuffle' so I don't step on her.

She's apparently got quite the aficionado for Ugg slippers too! I might have to buy a new pair so she can have the ones that are on my feet!

Oh my goodness! She's such a cutie.

For sure a cutie. I waited 13 months after loosing my baby boy just shy of his 7th b-day.
So glad we both did it again. It was the hardest 13 months ever.

Oh, maybe Sophie, has such a sweet cute little face and those ears! OMG, is right.

Sophie is 8 weeks and weighs 1lb 4ozs. I'm hoping she'll be closer to the 4lb range. As much as I love the little ones, they come with so much risk. Gabby was 2.5lbs.

Gabs was my world. I got her as a baby and we shared nearly 6 years together. However, when my son had his 2nd heart surgery, my close friend offered to look after her until my son recovered. Since Gabby knew and loved him, I didn't see the harm and truth be told, I was grateful for the offer. She was quite needy and leaving her alone in an ex pen all day and into the evening wasn't ideal for her.

2 weeks later I started asking for my dog back and he started avoiding me. Eventually he wouldn't take my calls, return my texts and when I went to his house, he refused to answer the door. It was pretty messy. We ended up in court over it. First he lied and said I gave her to him and then said the dog ran away (Gabby was WAY too clingy to run away). In the end, the best I got were what the courts considered "damages" and he got my dog. The pictures his daughter posts on her facebook is proof that she didn't 'run away' to anything other than another room.

Needless to say it's a pretty sore subject for me. My avatar is her picture. I'm still quite bitter and I'm secretly hoping hell claims what's left of his soul.

Darn! That opened Pandora's box didn't it? If Soph ever needs dogsitting I'll be going through my trusted vet or a kennel. These dogs are so cute they can make some of the most honorable people into thieves!
