Uni isn't afraid of most things, but she is scared of things above her that she think could fall on her. When we had the bike shop, we had a scaffolding over the cash wrap desk for extra storage. Whenever we went up there to put stuff up or take it down she would always cower and put her ears back. (She had a bed that was set up on top of the cash wrap desk, so she was always under the scaffolding.) We never dropped anything on her before, so I guess she was just being cautious. Other than that the only other thing I can think of is she got too scared to pass by a wooden pallet that was propped up against a wall. It had plastic sheeting on it that was all tattered and it was blowing in the wind. She must have thought it was a ghost! |
Blazer is scared of the tape measure. |
Sophie is afraid of usual things like the vacuum, loud noises and if she thinks she is having a bath or we are going out and she is going in her pen she likes to hide under the couch. But she is extremely afraid of the little metal leash clasps! We had a retractable for her and we had to switch out the clasp to a little plastic one from one of her old leashes. She flat out refuses to walk with a leash with a metal clip and if we put one on her harness she cowers and acts like she is carrying a 20lb back pack on her and stays hunched over and shakes! As soon as it is off and the plastic one is used she is ready to go. And hamsters. She is terrified of our little robo hamster but has no problem tearing apart our cats' toy mice! She was fine with our rats when we had them...but this little hamster makes her eyes bulge and she hides. |
Lola loves to swim and dive off our dock, but Lola she is supper scared of getting a bath. I am not sure if she is afraid or just angry about it, but any stuffed animal or doll that talks gets her in a frenzy killing mode |

Mickey is afraid of feathers and any speck of dirt or whatever in his water bowl. He is improving with the water bowl but the feathers are another matter. |
I had to change our walking route because Chloe was scared of a plastic frog, in a garden that makes froggy noises when you walk by. |
Max is not afraid of anything but Sophie is terrified of the kitchen cabinet under the sink. She wont get close to it and if I dare get the rice maker from it she starts shaking and goes hide. She has never had any incidents with the rice maker or the cabinet. I even tried keeping their treats in there for her to associate the cabinet with something positive but she wants no part of it. |

This is the funniest thread!! The other day I left a small pile of clothes on the floor in the living room and Joey was very unhappy. I'm not sure if he was "scared" per se, but he did NOT want those clothes in his ..uh, I mean... THE living room. Very particular, indeed. |
Along with the typical, Zeus is terrified of Diet Mountain Dew bottles! I mean completely terrorized by them. My son has a Sonic Screwdriver that makes a noise from the Dr. Who show, and Zeus likes to pretend he is afraid of it and plays chase (you chasing him with the Sonic Screwdriver). |
Pao is afraid of snails lol. When we are out on walks he'll not step over a snail. When they come out of their shells slowly and starts moving, Pao jumps like ahhhh he's attacking me lol! |
Max is afraid of lemons and Cooper is afraid of tomatoes! One day, I cut a lemon in half and let Max smell it. Now, when I cut lemons he comes in the kitchen to see what I'm doing, sees the lemon and runs to escape! Poor Cooper and his tomato fear. I bought The Vidalia Chop Wizard last year to better cut veggies for salsa. Cooper is very afraid of the sound the chopper makes but he knows as soon as he sees a tomato - it's going to happen and under the bed he goes. I put him in the backyard once, thinking he wouldn't hear it as much only to find him at the furthest point from the house, shaking in fear. :( |
my last yorkie Kirby had a bunch of fears, for a long time he was afraid of his water dish, he was afraid of the dishwasher and terrified of our wood burning fire place. |
Tyson is terrifed of the broom. I have no idea why.... He\'s also afraid of birds. However, I do know the reason for this. He was attacked by a mama mockingbird. He was trying to kiss her baby that was on the ground :D:D:D |
