Any suggestions on what to do with old dog clothes? Hello everyone! I recently went through Henri's things and found that I have quite a few clothes that don't fit him anymore. They are gently used so I am trying to sell them in the classifieds section of YT to someone who can use them, but there is a possibility that not all (if any lol) will sell. So, any suggestions on what to do with them if I can't sell them on here? I don't plan on getting another Yorkie any time soon and if I do I want it to be a girl, and the clothes are just sitting there not being used so I would like for them to be put to use. Any ideas? |
Try ebay too. People sell everything on there!! |

Thanks!:) |
I donate mine to shelters. They can put them on the newly adopted... Just a little bonus for the pup to go home with. They have also used them to "pretty up" a pup that hasn't been adopted. |
You can definitely donate them. |

When my last girl passed away I swore no more dogs, I donated every dog related thing to my local no kill shelter. All cloths from my passed 4 babies, sweaters, harness, leashes,T-shirts, coats, toys, beds, barking cooking jar, even a 6X4 kiddie pool, EVERYTHING. My shelter has yearly things like yard sales, money goes back into the non funded shelter. 2 weeks later Cody came into my life lol, I had NOTHING not even a ball for him lol. But it was fun buying him clothes and toys. Donate to shelter. In case you didn't didn't know this, you can also donate old towels and blankets to your shelter, they use them for dog bedding. |
I sent you a message about the clothes I was interested in. Rowan loves to wear clothes. He will find one of his shirts laying on the couch or he will take it off the coffee table and he will bring it to me and drop it in my lap and look at me until I put it on him. I only have a few things for him and this would be a great opportunity for me to increase his wardrobe. |
I was thinking about you donating a bunch of doggie clothes to Yorkie Haven to re-sell or use in gift baskets, etc....maybe help them out a bit with fund raising for those unfortunate pups they work so hard to help.....I have no idea if that is anything they would be interested in....something I will check into myself when/IF we ever relocate up to Paris! |

Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't know about the towels and blankets, next time I do some spring cleaning I will definitely remember that :) I also told friends, neighbors and family don't throw away towels or blankets, they give them to me, When I have enough to fill a 30 gal. trash bag I bring to shelter, they are always so grateful, |
This is mine and a couple other TY ladies group. You could list them here for sale: https://www.facebook.com/groups/486352174799958/ Also if you would like to donate you could donate them to Donna a YTer with who runs her own non profit Yorkie rescue. She has monthly auctions to help raise funding. https://www.facebook.com/groups/656500171138781/ |
