Happy Updates Hi all! I have mostly been lurking and replying to posts, but I have some happy updates and thought I would share with all of my friends and furbutts here. Bella is now three months out from her liver shunt surgery and though we have not taken her for her 3 mo. post op yet, (next Saturday) so we don't know for sure that her liver is coming online as it should yet but she sure acts like there is nothing wrong. So that is the first big happy yea! At the time of her surgery, she was just over 2.5 lbs. We are all proud to say that even though we did not think it would ever even be possible, when we took her to the groomer who is located in the same building as her vet, she has achieved Breed Standard, now weighing in at 4.00 pounds!! And now for the bestest announcement... we are now engaged in finding the breeder who will bring Bella's little sister Bonnie into our lives!! I can not wait and there is a breeder not too far away that might have her. We go to meet this little 8 week old girl on the 15th. So, cross your fingers and paws for us! |
Congratulations! Wonderful news all around. |
WowWowWow!!! I can only imagine how even more exciting and chaotic and joyous your happy household will become soon. All thee very best to you and yours!!! What a happy post! |
What wonderful news all around. Paws crossed over here on that new baby, how very exciting. |
I'm so happy that Bella s doing so well, and so excited that you are going to get another little girl. They will double your joy and brighten and warm your home and hearts immensely. |
Fantastic ! Can't wait to see pics of wee little Bonnie! |
Well, it turns out that the search for Bonnie will have to continue. The breeder wanted to sell her at just over 8 weeks, I told him that I would much prefer 12, so he sold her to someone who would be okay with a pup that small and young. My breeder will be the one who cares more for the dog than the money! |
Right on, RussPilot! Your perfect baby girl is out there and you'll connect when it's right for all concerned! The main thing was getting that elusive green light ok-ing your new little gal. I know your quest will result in a fabulous new family member very soon! Thanks for compliment on Piper's picture...She really is such a funny lamb chop--sometimes her little head tilts stop me in mid-question cuz I start laughing. |

Excellent!!! Reputable concerned breeders will NOT sell a Yorkie before 12-14 weeks of age....your breeder WANTS to send her babies to a new home, vaccinated....those EFFECTIVELY start at 8 weeks of age....8-11-14 weeks of age is the usual admin. times of the puppy shots...some give a 4th injection, depending on the vaccine brand used......dont give an inch on this....your caring breeder is more concerned about her baby going to her new home healthy and safe and the very best she can be.....you are looking at a 12-14 week old baby minimal, in order to achieve those aspirations.... |
Congratulations on both Bella's good health and Bonnie!!! I know that surgery had to be the scariest thing in the world and yet Bonnie and you made it through. Thank God she's healed and doing well. Aren't they different once they get help? My dog just had MVD and once he was started on a proper diet, his life really, really changed! He's a happy, feisty dog once again! Hope your Bella is able to live her life to the fullest very soon! Puppy kisses from Tibbe to brave Bella! |
Awsome news:D Way to go Bella baby! |
