Dog Carrier?????
 
I have been looking at multiple carriers but I don't know what would be best. I need one that can hold a 14 pound shih tzu and my yorkie pup... any suggestions. It will be for flying mostly:aimeeyork:)

It looks heavy even with no pup or pups inside. Try to get one that is as light in weight as possible as - remember - you will be carrying it for long periods of time and it can get tiring! I bought a very lightweight one at PetSmart and Tessa (5.8 lbs.) loves it and I can carry it as a shoulder bag with her in it. Just consider the final weight and how much you can carry around, which I am sure you have.

I am also shopping for a carrier for flying. You might try looking at the Sleepy Pod Air, Petsfit Comfort, Celltei pet carrier and at Midnight Pass Pet Products. I can't decide which one I want to go with for 2 Yorkies but the Sleepy Pod Air looks like it might offer the most room.

The carrier is on wheels, so should not be an issue for long hauls.
Sherpa carriers are very nice and ok for airline use.
You might need too big a carrier for airline cabin use if your pets are not very small. Also do they allow two pets in one carrier? I don't know.

Sherpa is airline approved I know. I have a sherpa and it is a nice carrier.

Its actually on wheels which is what I have been wanting for a while.

They do actually allow you to put two dogs in one at least for southwest they do which is what i always fly on.

The info says the Sherpa you refer to holds up to a 16 LB dog, so hope you have less than that between them.

The one I'm actually looking at is the one for 22 pounds because they both fit comfortably in it. I'm just not sure what I want.

I would suggest the Sherpa too:) I have one for Yoshi it's very light weight. I'm bossed with the should strap helps a a lot when you are traveling it leaves your hand free. I know they are Aline line approved as well! I don't think though you can have 2 dogs in one but I might be wrong most defiantly u would contact they airline as I have found that different ones have different regulations. I would also check on amazon they have a lot of carries to choose from and it nice because in the description they tell you the weight of the carrier. Also a a little tip cat carriers work too and they tend to be much cheaper:)

I just bought tickets to bring two yorkies home - both under 6 months on Delta and they let me put them in one bag for one charge.

Some airlines will not let you carry both dogs in one bag after they get a certain age. Just didn't know if you knew that and wanted to share.
