look what fell into my lap today
 

Well, I have been babysitting my grands all weekend and got home today about eleven this morning. I opened the classified first thing because I have been kind of looking for an older or at least adult female to be a buddy to Ceeby. what to my wondering eyes did appear but this little lady. Blue/gold, five pounds and champion bloodlines. She is a bit older than what I wanted but I am in love and Ceeby is too. She was very reasonably priced because the breeder/shower was reducing her stock. I have never seen so many champions in one place. I cannot even begin to name them because i know nothing about it but she did show me one that won or placed or something important LOl in the big Eukanuba show recently. Couse I was just shaking my head every time she named a champion lie I really understood what she was saying. I was like, Oh yeah, that dog. Anyway here she is. her name is Silk and she is terrified. Of course, now I have another dog that looks like it won't eat. The lady gave me her dinner. she free feeds dry food, then once a day she gets, Ceser;s puppy food and a boiled egg. Then the other feeding is only Cesers without the egg. She has staked out her perch already, the back of the couch and Ceeby has humped her since I put her down until she got on the back of the couch. But his excitement will wear off now that she is on the couch. Oh, her coat is silky.

Congratualtions of your 'New" baby. I am sure the Ceeby will get used to her and they will become friends. I hope you post some more pictures of them together. Good luck during the adjustment period and I hope she settles in quickly. :)

She is four so I should be able to have at least one or two litters. She has had two litters of two pups each. She is a very small framed dainty five pounds. let's just hope Ceeby doesn't outgrow her. thanks

Thanks, I can't believe it!!!!!!!!! I just hope the show/breeder was honest but I spent a lot of time talking with her as did my husband and being a breeder himself, he can usually spot the dishonest people a mile off. he doesn't think she is as cute as Ceeby but i do. her nose is longer than I would have lied tho. Ceeby has a button nose and close eyes. hers are far apart. But she is a sweety. I just wish she weren't so timid right now. I am hoping she will warm up in a couple of days. she likes me already but she is in strange surroundings and doesnt quite know what to think.

no, i don't have her pedigree yet. Her full name is Coburn's then something really strange and then Southern Showgirl. I don't have her paper here in front of me and that lady was throwing so many champion names out there today no way i could remember them all. She said this dog is from her old champion bloodlines whatever that means. She has dogs and handlers at the Eukanbuba thing right now that are doing well and some other big show that was last week I think. Was it Akron? She kept mentioning a something REX or Mister Rex. Sorry I just do not know. I have never been iterested in showing so I really don't have a clue. She has two yorkies from Hungry. I told her I had heard about those and she immediately began to throw big champion names at me. My head was spinning. When I send for my transfer tho, I am going to get a pedigree. I probably will need a five generation. I will research her bloodlines before I breed. She won't come in again probably until summer.

Silk ate her dinner right after I posted this and ate Ceeby's, too!!!!!!!!! That is going to be a problem. I pick Ceeby's food up every time I leave the room. This morning when I got up, her dry food dish was empty and the water was nearly gone. i know Ceeby didn't do that so i called the lady I got her from last night after she ate just to double check the amounts and she said it is a very good sign that she is eating well. But, I had overfed her. Now she is just staying on her perch and is kind of afraid of us but I love her and sweet talk her every time I go into the room. I stay in here most of the time because my computer is her and also because everytime I leave, Ceeby starts yapping and I have to play fetch or cuddle. But, he hasn't done that much since we brought Silk home late yesterday. I was hoping she would be company. Right now, she doesn't play with him but he tries to get her to. I hope she will come around in a few days. She looks prettier every time I look at her.

I am so happy for you. I know you have been looking for a female for some time. It sounds like you are just in love with her and she found a great home too.

She has warmed up to me a little more today. When I took her outside a few minutes ago, she followed me around the yard (it's fenced). She has been just sitting down. No peepee or poo outside yet but thankfully she is using the pads to pee but pooping beside them . She is used to going in and out a doggie door which I don't have and couldn't even put one in because the yorkie room is in the front of the house. yard with fence is in the back. Her little eyes have been teary ever since I got her. She looked over my shoulder yesterday when I left her home with her. The previous owner had a husband that is somewhat disabled and he was more less claiming her and she played with him. I feel sorry for her and even tho I love her to pieces, I don't see how people can raise these little animals all their lives, then get rid of them like they are nothing. My dogs are with me until they die. My husband says most breeders don't look at it that way. This lady is getting more into the showing aspect, having several dogs that are in all kinds of shows and I think eventually she will quit breeding. So I am trying to make everything up to my new gal.

She's a pretty little thing! You were at the right place and the right time. It was meant to be for you to get her.
