My naughty little Cookie Monster
So just a few minutes ago Cookie told me she wanted to go outside, but any time after sunset she has to go out on her harness and leash so I can keep her from hunting toads. So she's standing at the back door saying "Come on Chris, I wanna go out." So I grabbed her harness and sat on the loveseat next to the door and told her she has to come up to get her harness. "No Chris, let's just go out" she says standing at the door and wagging her tail.
"No Cookie, you chase toads at night, and that's bad. Remember when they made you puke last time?"
"No Chris, I just wanna go out!" After sitting there for a couple of minutes she realized I wasn't taking her without her jumping up to get her harness. So she comes up and as I'm getting ready to put the harness on she says "High five!" and puts a paw up. "No Cookie, put your hand down" I tell her. "No Chris, high five" as she puts her other paw up. So I grabbed her paw and proceeded to put the harness on, and she opened her mouth to chew on it instead. "No Cookie, don't eat the harness! It doesn't taste good" I said. So I grabbed her muzzle and she goes "high five!" and puts a paw back up to block the harness again. After a couple of minutes of back and forth with high five vs chew the harness, she finally relents and harness goes on for her potty trip haha.
And right as I was typing this up she jumped on my leg to give me a bunch of yorkie kisses. Yorkies are the best! :animal36 |
