this is my 1st time posting on here, so forgive me if I have posted in wrong place.
my 18 month old millie, got spayed 5 days ago. after 3rd day she had trouble weeing, really straining a lot and just tickling, it is clear urine, vet checked her today, and felt her, and felt a solid lump just below stitch line, and said it feels like a progressive tumour. having a ultra sound tomorrow, she was perfect before her spay op. ?? they said she may of had it previous to op, I said why wasn't it noticed when she was under op. they said the ovaries removal was further up and wouldn't of noticed it further down, am devastated thinking alsorts, had she had it before or have they got it wrong.?

The problem going to the bathroom may very well be from the spay. As for a tumor, I wonder if it could be fluid build up or something else. Whatever their answer is, I would get a second opinion to be on the safe side.

Hmm, pre-exam should have caught something like that. Straining to urinate is also common after a female spay as well. Keep us updated after the US, and potentially get a second opinion. My little man has a bump under his ahem, "removal" but that's because his old vet did a terrible stitch job. Hence, new vet.

Oh gosh, I so hope your kiddo is okay. It's probably just some sort of benign lump as she is still so young. Please keep us posted.

update on my millie
 
well went back to vets today, seen the head vet this time, to be told no cancer tumour.!! so brilliant news. stitches reaction in the stomach causing infection.
straight away was told NO CHARGES for ultra sound and consultations. ha wonder why.
told them they should not give severe news like they did without proper evidence, they got a piece of my mind to say the least.
but was so so overjoyed we have our baby back.
antibiotics and pain killers for a week.
which I think should be compulsory with a major op.??

good news! Glad you gave them a piece of your mind...those type of statements should not be spewed out w/o some forethought

Antibiotics for sure. When Bella had her liver shunt surgery, she didn't need pain meds after the second day. Just watch them and if they seem to be in discomfort, give them some pain meds.
