I have a huge issue!
 
I have a yorkie/poodle mix named Zoey. She's a stubborn "do what I want or I pout" kind of puppy. She's 17 weeks old.
Here is the issue. She's really attached to my husband for some reason. I say that because I'm the one home with her the most.
Yesterday she peed on my bed. Ok, I thought accidents happen. Cleaned it up good. Today she did it again. So I started thinking. Hmmm. What's going on? That's what I asked myself. Anyways this morning she was really wanting to play with him. But he was getting ready for work. She layed in the hallway while he was showering and he didn't pay her much attention before he left.
So he says bye to me and leaves. TEN MINUTES LATER! She jumped on the bed and pees! Same as yesterday! Different spot but his side of the bed.
What do I do???

Don't mean to laugh Ha, but what a stinker.
Just let her know that's not acceptable, by speaking firmly.
She's so young. She will get better.

Can you make the bed inaccessible? If she is jumping on it, it must be low enough for her to do that. Pile pillows around the edge? Close the door to the bedroom? Part of learning where to go pee is learning where NOT to go pee.

When she does something she shouldn't, like chewing on my shoe, I shake my finger at her and say no shoe. So I shook my finger at her and said no pee on bed and took her outside. Thing is, it's like she argues with me! She barks at me when I tell her no. Lol.
I really have my hands full!

Sounds like the alpha haven't been established yet. Like Shicks said, Zoey's very young and she's probably "testing" you to see how far she can go or think she's the alpha. It may take some time but being firm/patient with her and she'll get it eventually. :D

I have a platform bed. So it is kinda low and she has long legs (the poodle in her). Lol. I'm disabled with chronic back pain so I spend most of my time in the bedroom. I have to lay rather than sit and the couch is too soft.
I'm thinking of trying to walk out with my husband with her when he leaves. He's on afternoons this week so that's possible. But when he leaves at 5:30am she's still asleep.

She does test me often. When she doesn't want to do something she lays down and barks. I don't give in to her ever. I pick her up and then put her back down so she has to walk. She's 8.5 lbs so I can't carry her around! I'm not to carry anything over 5lbs! I do think she thinks she's the boss here.

Exactly! Being on the bed is seen as a priveledge in our home. Close the door to your bedroom or gate it off/put her in an ex pen. How is the house training going? At 17 weeks she still won't have much bladder control but her urinating/bowel movements should be somewhat predictable now.

It's a privilege here also. She usually "asks" to get on the bed. Always waits to be told to "come up".
House training is actually going very well. She either goes to the door and sits or lately she has started something new. And that's using her nose to hit my leg to tell me she needs to go. She just started that a few days ago.
My mom thinks this is seperation anxiety from my husband. So I have to find a way for her to be ok with his leaving. She really loves him!

As she gets older and realizes more that leaving is not forever, she will get better on the separation. At that age, you just have to be firm and consistent with her until she gets it right.

Me too! Sorry but I giggled as my Spice ( 11mo) has such a strong will and personality that I spend my day just giggling with her. She is finally learning I am boss and some days she accepts that and other days she tries me LOL

When I take her outside it's so hard to get her to come back in. She plants her feet and refuses to budge! And I cringe when I see her lay down! It's then I know I have to go pick her up! Hahaha And she's not one who likes to be carried. She's very strong willed and determined to have things her way.

Yes, keep her right with you while hubby is leaving...and then take her out to pee.

If you have to, use a leash so that you maintain control...

I definitely leash her. We don't have a fenced yard and we live in town. And with the way my legs are, I could never run after her if she took off.
Tonight I asked my parents when they allowed their pug to roam the house and they said she was about 4 mos old. I can't imagine allowing my pup to roam
our house now. They said when she stopped having accidents in the house they were able to leave for a couple hours without crating her.
I'm too scared! I hate crating her, but I don't want her getting into something and getting hurt.
What's an appropriate time to start testing her?
