Potty training i have a 4 year old Yorkie. I work all day and I have tried using the puppy pads for her to use when I'm not home. However, she doesn't pee on them nor does she pee on the floor. When I come home she doesn't go either, it's well into the night when she she finally goes. I'm worried that she doesn't pee enough. Does that sound strange? She doesn't seem in distress. |
Yes that does sounds very strange and isn't healthy. The longest they should hold it for is 8 hours and that's stretching it. |
It does sound a bit off and it wouldn't hurt to run this by your vet next time you're there. But, all dogs are different and maybe she just hydrates differently than others. Does she get some moisture on her food? If not, may want to add some there... |
Definitely have em' checked by the vet, you don't want a bladder infection. How much space does she have access to? |
Maybe she is peeing and you're not finding it. Is she confined to an area while you're not home? |
Thanks everyone. She has access to the whole house, we live in an 800 sq foot home. I check every time I come home to see if she has gone somewhere. Yes she has access to water and food all day. She seems healthy so I will keep my eyes on her. She is the best dog! I just love her. |
