Ohhhh, what perfect little playmates Piper and Teddy would make...I am just in love with your handsome little man and Pipe' knows a "buddy" when she sees one (Piper is very discerning and selective...). We ran into three large, loose dogs one morning and though their owner insisted they were friendly and "don't worry"--I, too, scooped up Piper and responded that though the dogs may be friendly, there were three of them and one of her, plus one can never trust a rowdy, running-loose pack of canines. Geez, people can be so dense and unaware. I think even if Teddy has a bit of a setback, it'll only be temporary (if at all) and you'll continue your progress together. Teddy is soooo dang cute!!!! Love your take and observations on everything and always look forward to your posts and responses, et al. Thank you for the joy you both bring!!! |
Our Zeus is just shy of 4 lbs, so I understand the small comment; however, everyone thinks that makes him more adorable. He was the smallest puppy of the litter. Our Zeus is also like me and my son -- hypersensitive. Too much noise, light, people, dogs, smells are just too much for him. He would have acted the same way as your adorable baby. They are extra sweet when they are on the timid/anxious side -- Zeus is very clingy (literally) to my shoulder in those situations! |
My teddy hasn't really been introduced to other dogs but he too gets his breed denied! Everyone insists he's a yorkie poo even though I met both parents who are medium yorkies like him but he's the only curly one his mom had wavy hair |
Seems the only people who greet Piper as a Yorkie are fellow Yorkie owners. Others ask if she is a Silkie or bit of a mix...When I respond, no she's full-on Yorkie, I'm often met with skeptical smiles or furrowed brows. Whereas Yorkie people are thee best, friendliest, most complimentary and supportive folks ever---always smiling at Piper, telling her how cute she is and, when possible, sharing photos of their babies. Just love the Yorkie lovers!!! |
