Troy L Smith Mi Amor Kennels I put a deposit down on a pup from this guy on March 22, 2015. When deliver date rolls around he claims the mother dog jumped on the pup and killed it , I emailed he and he claims that he will have another pup born on May 10, 2015. I could take deliver approx 8 weeks from then. I thought it over and didn't feel good pursuing the dog through this gentleman. I honestly felt like he wAs not honest and I didn't want to go through the same ordeal again as this was to be a pet for my 8 year old daughter. I asked for a refund of the $100 on the following Monday. Mr Smith said he did not give refunds but was planning to do so as a mere courtesy . As of June 7, 2015 I have not received this refund . DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TROY SMITH WITH MI AMOR KENNELS !!! |

So sorry this happened to you, did you try contacting him again? Was the deposit made through Paypal...if so, you can dispute it. |

I see a lot of off standard adult dogs and chocolate (nose) pups. happy clients, puppy pictures Charging $1000 for female "teacups". Also charging the customer the 3.5% paypal fee. That's tacky. |
Apparently, this guy has a long history or ripping people off. Google him and you'll see. There may be "reputable" breeders out there but so far I have only met people who want to exploit and make a profit off of dogs. Sorry if I ruffle any honest breeder's feathers out there. I have only had rescues and have never had any regrets. |
I have cut my losses but the dog was for my 8 year old daughter so I'm really upset . I got another dog from a lady in Tomball and he is doing well . I just wanted everyone to know how this guy does business .... |
File a complaint If you contact the Better Business Bureau they will contact the seller for you. I filed a complaint on a company and the BBB contacted the seller and asked them how they wanted to resolve the issue. I think they contact them up to twice and they will stay in touch with you to find out resolution. You may not get resolution but at least it will get his name out there. Good luck. Emmas Mom |
There's rip off report also. I'm wondering what type of breeder the new pup if from, seeing as how you were able to turn around and get another in a matter of days. |

Just hoping you didn't get another 8 week old pup. Twelve weeks is best. I'm just saying, since you found another breeder so quickly... even few months is quick. The best breeders have waiting lists up to a year or more. And no I did not wait a year or more for mine. I got her from an ad in the paper before I knew any better. And while she is a great dog and I love her, she has LP grade 2/3 which may need surgery in the future ($1000+ each knee; 8+ week healing), off color, large ears, long muzzle, and I paid over $1200 for her. For that price, if I had waited, I could have gotten one with a Ch pedigree, or maybe even Ch sired. IF I knew the right breeders. |
