Walk it out 1 Attachment(s) Hello everyone. Haven't been on YT for quit some time. My question is..... I've been yorkie sitting my step daughters puppy since yesterday and I notice she walks around in a circle up to 1-3 full minured at a time. Now I've seen dogs walking in circles to find that spot or if they got to go but this is much longer. Her name is Chloe and she's one year old. I attached a pic |
Is this something new? Could it be because she misses her. Otherwise I'd worry about a neurological problem. It should be mentioned to her vet. |
I asked her and she says she does it very often |
If she's trying to find her "spot", it may be normal for her, albeit long :p. However, if it seems abnormal, I'd get it on your phone's camera so you can show it to a vet... |

I did some searching on the internet, and found a few articles on possible causes of dogs walking in circles: What Medical Conditions Could Cause My Dog to Walk in Circles? Dog Walks in Circles It might be nothing serious at all, or it could be an ear infection or a neurological problem. I would either take the dog to the vet, or show the vet a video of the behavior. |

It looks like she is circling the door waiting for your daughter to come home. If she stops doing it when your daughter is around, or if it's easy to interrupt and distract her while she is circling, then that's probably all it is. But if she does it all the time, even when your daughter is present, you should probably take her to the vet and have her checked out. |
