Violet for sure! I love it and it does go with Jasmine nicely. I know 2 dogs named Harley and they are miserable dogs. Violet was my husband's grandmothers name and she was this wonderful southern lady, but full of spunk. We were sitting at her house watching football one time and she said "Come on now! I could tackle him better than that!" She was like 83 years old! wonderful. I love the name Violet and her pic is adorable. |
You all are awesome. I have loved the name Violet since she was born, there were also lots of wild violets in my yard when I was trying to come up with a name. I wondered if it was a sign. KazzyK810 - my friend suggested the same thing. She said to switch the name to Penelope Violet and call her Pennie. I was also thinking of nicknames for Violet. I also have a cat and dachshund and they both have many nicknames and seem to know them all. :p. I was thinking of Vivi (pronounced Vivee). Any other ideas? Why is it so hard to choose a name for this baby??? :D |
I also like the name Josie. It's cute and girly and it's easier to say than Violet. |
Just call her Vi for short, like rhymes with Sky. I really like Violet over calling her Pennie. Too many dogs are named Pennie and not enough are named Violet. She will have a more unusual name. But then my dogs are Teek, Rowan, Raksha and Gatlin so you can see that I don't have the Spot, Rover, Fido kind of names at my house. LOL |

Violet for sure! |
I like Violet as well, but don't stick to hard to a name, you might decide something like Harley is more fitting to her personality. We've had a "B" theme in animal names for years, never noticed it till my daughter named her boxer mix Baby Girl. So going down the line we had Bubba the Rotti Bijou the cocker spaniel / Lab mix (mom was the spaniel dad a monster lab) Buddy the blk and white cat mix that we inherited from my mother in law name and all when she passed, Bella a rescue tabby we rescued from the Humane Society with the name in place and Bruiser our yorkie (started out as Noni, but Bruiser was a better fit) and now Baby Girl. I asked my daughter why she went with Baby Girl instead of Mia like she had first picked initially. Said she had to keep with the theme. What theme I asked her, the B theme Mom, head slap, DUH!:D |
Violet Penelope seems cute. |
