Kind of an Emergency I am going to attempt to refrain from obscenitites when I type this. We our remodeling our attic/upstairs flat in my home. My grandma came over during the day while I was at work. Stewie was confined in the kitchen/hallway area. She must have gone upstairs to look and left the door open. I found him in the work area among drywall and wood shavings. He is very dirty, but looks OK and is acting OK. There were loose nails and screws, washers, etc on the floor. Should I be concerned that he ate something? I checked his paws for slivers and they look fine. Any advice/suggestions? Oh and how do you yell at your grandmother for being negligent?? |
I would just keep an eye Stewie the next couple of days and see how he acts... I bet your Grandmother didn't mean to leave the door open - maybe next time you can remind people who come over that Stewie is confined to keep him out of danger and to please take notice of such things. I bet they will be more careful next time. ;) |
He had a cough before, but now it sounds really dry... like he can't get something up. maybe it would have been helpful if I mentioned that I have a large typeface sign on the door that says (in red letters) ;) PLEASE Keep Door Closed at All Times Thanks, Stewie |
Maybe you can call your vet and explain what happened, then describe the cough that he is having...The vet might want to examine him just to be on the safe side. |
sorry, but i wouldnt let anyone over when im not home anyways........ i ALWAYS lock my door when i leave and no one (nto even fiances friends) are supposed to be over at the house unless i am there too.... |
Unfortunately, she has a key. I know I sound evil talking about my grandma like she's an alien, but I'm bitter. I had THREE locks on the door (murder capitol of the U.S.!!). Both of my parents have keys and so does my brother in case of an emergency and my dad keeps making her keys!! |
Well then have a talk with her. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm just let her know your yorkie needs to be protected. Good luck! :) |
