1000+ Dogs dead from jerky treats from China I'm not sure if this has been posted here before. I found this article dated Jan 2015. This absolutely scary because according to this article the label doesn't have to state where it was made. The best thing to do is to not feed your dog jerky treats. I do not feed any jerky treats anyway but I am terrified of buying any sort of pet products from China and always try to look for the USA label. I was in Petsmart or Petco (sorry I can't remember which) and they told me their company was going to stop purchasing any food from China sometime this year. |
I would love to hear from people in China to find out why they have such extreme indifference to animals. The things they do to animals is horrendous and is off the freaking charts. Animal abuse all over the world is horrific and is not just China. One day we are going to wake and find that all of the animals have just disappeared. In fact animals attacking humans are on the rise. There only about 10 White Rhinos left in existence as a result of China hunting them for their horns. Supposedly, the ivory in the horns help cure impotence. They black rhino recently went extinct just a few years ago Lets take a moment to think about that. Entire species are now extinct so that some man can get an erection. I've also so a video of animals being skinned alive for their fur but I partly blame America for that because we are still wearing fur. Even faux fur is real animal fur. You have to know what to look for when buying faux fur. I personally don't buy clothing with any fur just to be on the safe side. |

In addition of large manufacturers there are small companies in the US that perhaps less chasing profits. One that you can try is Pooches Tasty Treasts, LLC in Cleveland Ohio. I ordered their "healthy pet treats" and seem they are good and organic. |
Ever since the crude going on with China and dog treats/foods, I've been much more conscious about where the food comes from. Since my furbabies are now on a more weight controlled diet, I've restricted treats to fresh veggies and treats I've made, myself, and just simply not get any actual store bought treats (though if I did, it's from a few companies I'd at least trust decently enough). |
