Pet friendly hotels While traveling this Easter weekend, I was delighted to find this high-end pet friendly hotel in Highlands NC. The Park on Main caters not just to you, but your furry friend. We were delighted to find thattThey also support the local shelter. We are happy to share that they now also offer the Piddle Place to their guest, so they might continue on their travels in comfort. GiGi and I stayed at the Omni hotel in Corpus Christi. The hotel was great when it came to pets. One thing that I really liked, was at night when I had to take her out to potty, they had a nice area that was well lit. I felt safe, and Gi was very comfortable in the area. |
It's great to see hotels being more accommodating to us pet owners. It's the first thing I check for when looking for a place. |
Our Families Favorite Hotel is Drury Inn. It's very Kid Friendly and Pet Friendly Pet Fee is very Minimal at $10.00 a night and they provide baggies if you don't bring your own. While we stayed there this last time we witnessed several other patrons there with their pets as well. La Quinta is a so so motel chain that allows dogs with no fee. In nicer areas it is hotel style where the doors to the rooms open to the inside, not out to the world like the older cheaper locations. Here in Vegas you'd be surprised how many hotels on the Strip allow dogs, but my favorite is the Platinum on Flamingo. It's off Strip and they charge $75 per stay, not per dog or per day. If you stay for a week with more than one dog (which we have) it's a great deal. Also the rooms are all 900sq ft with a full kitchen. It's like a small one bedroom apt. |
I am staying at La Quinta now. No fees. Have outdoor pens for large dog if needed and you can bring your own lock. Designated area for potty. You are allowed to leave them unattended as long as they have your cell phone and you will come back immediately if called for barking. I have their credit card you get two free nights right away and then another two or was it four?? when you charge 10K and then another night every 6 to 8K (husband uses it for business so he can rack up some points). I love the waffles and free breakfast in the morning. |
