Such a little brat!!!! LOL Spice was spayed on Wed and you would NEVER know it! She is so full of pi$$ and vinegar as always if not more so! LOL All if a sudden ,as in the past week, she wants to get on the back of the loveseat and jump down, well this hasnt been a problem before as she would just jump from the seat and I have a long pillow to soften her jump. ( She has done this from almost day one) but today she gets on the back of the loveseat and decided she can jump that far!! My other furbutts bed happens to be there and I thank God . It scared me to death.I immediately picked her up and checked her out , made her walk etc. She was fine BUT the next time it may not be that way. I have done everything I can thing of to stop her jumping , do you have any ideas? I cant keep her tethered to me as she is just too active and will bark for hours when I do that. I do mean hours too. Yesterday when we are out for a walk I put on her vest harness (never again) she somehow slipped it and off she went. Again thank God she didnt go in the street but stayed where she has been walked in the past. I cant run as I am crippled, so I just kept saying "come Spice" over and over. Well I am so happy that was one of the first things she learned cause after about 5 min of running like crazy she came to me. She is just s little ball of energy and when she is tired , no matter where she is , her little head will drop and she is out instantly! LOL As far as her incision all is well and she is healing very nicely. I was just wondering about that darn jumping and if anyone else has that problem and what did you do? |
That's great she's doing so well after her surgery :D. If you're having problems with jumping, I use ramps for Rasta. It took some time for him to get used to it, but I don't have to freak out about him hurting himself by jumping anymore. |
I would have freaked out if one of mine slipped a lead outside:eek::eek::eek: AS for the jumping, maybe you could teach her to stay off the furniture without your invitation. Then she would only be on the loveseat when you can sit with her. Definitely train to use a ramp/steps. I feel your pain, my tiniest one loves to jump too. She has Grade 1 LP so any jumping is a no-no, but at least she is too tiny to get onto the furniture without help... |
I would go with the training to stay off until invited. My friends Yorkie fell from the top of a sofa and broke his leg. I'm glad your little spitfire was okay. She probably was raring to go after being kept quiet for a few days! |
