it is no joke I just want to know why the yorkshire terrier smells of gravy |
HMMM maybe it's you, your smelling. |
No gravy smell here on either one. Only Fritos feet when they sweat. |
I've never smelled "gravy yorkies"...and I have 3. Marcel once smelled like cumin for about a week a few years ago, and it was delicious! :D |
5 yorkies in all, none smelled like beef gravy!!!! what end are you smelling. |
I doubt Yorkies smell any different then any other dogs, lol. My guess is they probably smell better then most dogs because they like to be clean and they usually get bathed more often. Then again, I too thought this was an April Fools joke. |

Googling Yorkies and gravy came up with this as a possible explanation for why some Yorkies might smell like gravy: Yorkie Gravy Recipe Maybe they spilled the gravy on their bib? :lol tears |

never knew they were called yorkies in England, I only know those little lightweight puffs of flower as Yorkshire pudding. So now my question is why do they call those yorkies "pudding", they are not like any pudding I have ever had:confused: |
So now my question is why do they call those yorkies "pudding", they are not like any pudding I have ever had:confused:[/QUOTE] "Pudding" in Britain is a very different definition than what we think of here. Can be a baked or steamed preparation, and even a type of sausage (think blood pudding) |
LOL - Welcome to YT, still think it's an April Fool's Day prank :D but no beef gravy smell here either though lots think Yorkies' feet smell like Fritos or corn chips. Tibbe, my Yorkie, has a yeast infection that he gets in his pawpads at times that smells like corn chips(not French fries) or popcorn but not anything like beef gravy but it could just be differences in how we all perceive odors. If you Google both terms, lots of people think Yorkies smell like Fritos, corn chips and popcorn but don't seem to have any takers on beef gravy. Here's an oversimplified and I'm certain not technically correct explanation: It is apparently the yeast in the pawpads that causes the odor to be formed when the heat and moisture from the pawpads mixes with existing organisms. The organisms can multiply faster than some immune systems can kill them and can get infected and quite foul smelling - awful, really - needing treatment. Here's Why Your Dog's Feet Smell Like Fritos | Dogster https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...20frito%20feet https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...and+beef+gravy Happy April Fool's Day, fellow Yt'ers!!! Tibbe loves my new 103 lb. pitbull foster, Petunia. |
