what are the best food and treats The breeder had get on eukanuba puppy chiot small breed. I got a take home supply but I'm not sure if I should change it. I also need good treats for her |
I feed pre-made raw frozen by either Primal or Natures Variety. But if you're looking for a kibble, then my fave is Natures Logic...which you can get on Amazon or locally at a better pet food store. For treats, I like CET Chews (again, Amazon), RMBs, Honest Kitchen Beams, and Munchy Stix. |
I would leave her on this food for a few months. You don't want to take away everything she knows and stress her out. |

If you have a Trader Joes close by they have dried Liver treats that Bubba and Sissy will do anything for. I used these for training |

I used cheerios or those organice "puffs" you find in the baby food aisle. No sugar or salt added and very low in calories. With the cheerios we would put a piece of doggie jerky in a sealed jar with the cheerios so it smelled like jerky and she went NUTZ for them. We didn't feed her the doggie jerkey because it was loaded with salt and she had kidney problems. but that allowed us to give her 40 or 50 treats a day for doing tricks and potty time and that came out to less than 25 calories per day for treats, As a special treat when she was younger- I would buy a cut of beef ( any kind) and dice into small pieces. Bake on a rimmed cookie sheet at 250 for an hour or 2. As the fat comes out of the beef soak it up with paper towels. Cook until crunchy on the outside with the barest amount of give in the center. Once the treats cool- they will be hard little " beef crunchies" you can store in a ziplock bag in the fridge pretty much indefinitely ( or as long as it takes you to go through them all) She also like garbanzo beans done in a similar manner ( so do i-LOL) Empty the can- drain and rinse well...toss with a bit of olive oil and bake at 300 until golden and crunchy. YUMMMMM! ( for both of us!) **these are not good for doggies on kidney diet because all canned goods have added salt. But for regular doggies..they will love them. |

Thank you so much... I've thought about home cooking meals. I made her treats the other day and she goes bonkers for them lol. Thanks again for the recipes |
I think on of the best dog foods is Grain Free Fromm . . . Treats . . . Cocotherapy Coconut Chips, Dynamo Dog -skin and coat, Primal Dry Roasted Venison Lung Puffs, Primal Dry Roasted Buffalo Liver Chunks Plato Salmon treats, Preen Wild Salmon dog treats, Stella and Chewy Carnivore Kisses Wild Alaskan Salmon treats or Stella and Chewy Carnivore Crunch Beef Treats they are all very yummy. We are loving the fish treats . |

With multiple dogs I set feed. I want to know which dog eats how much and which one may go off the food. They also have their own water bowls but that is problematic as my big guy drinks out of the wee ones dish and he drinks out of the big ones and my gal drinks up everything in sight! LOL so they each have their crate water bowls which are filled up daily as well. |
My primary treats are boiled chicken I hand treat into small, bite sized treats. I bag one cup bags and freeze all but one cup. This way it doesn't spoil. I use chicken breast meat to keep it healthy. You can basically give them as much as you want, though they need to eat there pot food so don't over do any treat. |
