That is an absolutely adorable Yorkie. I think the little tongue sticking out is probably just a cute reaction to being offered a treat from a person trying to take a picture (we all use that trick to get their attention). And it is an adorable little thing that almost all our Yorkies do. That is just my guess. Weight is determined by genetics, and even then predictions can be off. The "general rule of thumb" is their adult weight will be double their weight at 12 weeks. This again can be off. He has the adorable little baby face with short snout and doesn't look like he would be anything other than a standard sized Yorkie, which is 7 lbs and under, but again you need to know current age and weight to make the first guess. |
It is hard to tell from pictures. She looks yorkie to me, but then again I thought my Maggie looked like a floppy eared yorkie when she was a puppy, even though I knew she was only half. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=117109 |

poo. She is a yorkiepoo, she is mixed with poodle. She has more of a poodle snout than yorkie, and the floppy ears. There is a chance her ears might have stood up if we cut them short. One time they were fairly short and one tried to stand up. She looked quite funny for a week or two! As you can see, puppies can be deceiving so always make sure you verify the parents are both yorkies if that's what you want. We are quite happy with our little mutt, she is quite sweet. Quote:

He is absolutely cute, no doubt about that...LOL. Purebred is something a photo won't really tell you, as I understand it. The word 'teacup' is used in the USA to sell to a specific 'target' audience...often an inferior bred dog at a higher than expected cost, but could be different in your country. Regardless, Yorkshire Terriers are considered a Toy breed in the USA and England...where the breed was developed, as I understand it, so I would guess that to be the case where you are. If your breeder will show you the pedigree papers on dam and sire, and litter registration papers, it may help you confirm whether or not that adorable baby is purebred. Good luck. Waiting to hear your decision. |
