New Mama's and BABIESSS :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa Hi everyone!New to this site and just looking for some general advice,tips,tricks...First let me say Dexter will be 4 this oct he is the first dog I have ever owned and I wanted a yorkie for so long so he is pretty spoiled rotten and I have had him since he was 3 1/2 mnths.Roxie is 2 1/2 we got her when she was 10 mnths.She is a true family dog loves my 2 children and husband and I equally.Dex on the other hand is a mamas boy anyway....we just had a liter of 3 precious little baby girls.My mama is Roxie-morkie and daddy is dexter-yorkie.Question...When announcing the babies Do you call them morkies even though they are only 1/4 maltese?That may be a stupid question but,never know If you dont ask!!Sorry to drag this out but I am just looking for any info or tips on helping keep my puppies happy and healthy!!! :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
Hi and welcome to YT. Congrats on your litter - I'm really glad Momma and the babies lived through the birth since it's such a big risk that they won't. I believe you'd still call them morkies. |
I agree that they should still be called morkies but you can explain the 1/4 part in the description. I'm glad your puppies are healthy. |
Yes, morkies, they are not 100% yorkie, as Dayswalters replied, you can explain the 1/4. Happy to hear momma and babies are doing good. |
Yep- Morkies. I'm white as snow but my great, great, great grandpa was a tribal chief so I still refer to myself as Cherokee! lol! |

Don't know the proper name for a pup that is 3/4 Yorkie. Certainly can't call them Yorkies and technically they are not Morkies. I guess you just have to explain the situation and let the new owners call them their own. I hope all continues to go well for them. |
