She never sleeps in my lap until
 
I'm on my computer. I'm not sure why but Hannah thinks she needs to catch a few Z's every time I get on my computer. She's sleeping now as I type with one hand. When I move too much she lifts her little head and I get this one eyed sleepy peek and then she's out again. Queen Hannah knows how to get her way. I think this stems back to when I used to take her to work with me. I held her then too! I let her watch doggie videos until she got sleepy. I wish she would curl up in my lap when I'm sitting on the couch but she usually lays on the back of the couch and watches TV. Little stinker!

Tibbe crawls into my lap a lot of the time when I'm on the computer, which sits angled on the arm of my couch and he's right under the laptop overhang lying on a big pillow there, with little space between him and the bottom of my laptop. I know he's jealous of my time on the computer and maybe is thinking he can reclaim part of me that way - who knows. But invariably if I get on the computer - or a friendly phone conversation - before I know it Tibbe's placed himself on my lap, sometimes without me even noticing at first if I'm totally focused on what I'm doing!

Gracie is my lap magnet. Whenever I sit down in the living room she jumps up to get in my lap. Then I feel guilty when I have to get back up again. She wants to do this to all of our company as well. I have to tell her not to sit on strangers!:rolleyes:

She also likes to cuddle when I go to bed, she will get right up against me until she gets enough body heat and will then move away for a while. Sometimes when it is cooler she will dig at the covers until I let her get under with me. I think she is a heat seeker.:confused:

Hannah cuddles with me in the bed under the covers until she gets to warm. She sleeps so close to me that it feels like she's attached to my body! It's so comforting to me and I would really have a hard time sleeping if she were not in my bed. She just never curls up in my lap until I sit in my computer chair. Occasionally she will fall asleep in my lap while I'm brushing her hair but that is rare. I usually don't sit for long so when I have to get up from my computer I feel guilty too.

So funny! We've noticed recently that Joni seems to think a laptop, ipad or phone is competition and if we look at one, then it's time not spent looking at her! She'll jump up between us and device, firmly establishing her prominence! She rules the roost!

She's definitely trying to tell you something! Maybe it's what she hears on the news!! Haha! They are always talking about how bad those devises are for you and how we should put them up and spend more family time. Bet Joni keeps you from texting and driving! I love her name!! My favorite niece is named Joni. I've never heard of a fur child named that.

Wonder if Tibbe thinks your talking to him when you get on the phone?

Oh, yeah. I use a laptop or a tablet so Gracie curls up next to me when I'm online but it's the same situation. I'm sure you know how the guilt seeps in when she just gets comfy and you know you need to take a bathroom break.:rolleyes: Of course, if Gracie is not too deeply asleep she is glad to get up and go with me just for the heck of it. :)
