Louie is MIXED UP! Hi all, I think Louie is confused between day and night! for the past few nights he has been so rowdy and doesnt feel like sleeping until reeeealy late. He then proceeds to sleep allllllllllllllllllll day... I try to get him up and play but he is pooped! Any suggestions!! Thanks :( |
You have a night owl - or is it a night dog! Carol Jean |
Sorry no clue, my dogs sleep all night and all day!! Except for play times and eating!! Maybe a nice long walk before bedtime!! |
My girls go through phases like that...we just try and wear them out before bed and keep them up more during the day and they soon start sleeping good again!! |
If you can get him up at night, play with him real hard!!!! Let him have a goood long while outside running himself silly. That ought to make him good and tired and sleep like a baby. |
Peawee says this about me. LOL |
Thanks all, I have been making sure he is awake and playing at like 5-6 pm and then try to keep him going till around 9. Last night we went to bed and he just chewed on his bone for a few minutes and fell asleep.....well until my husband came home from work at around 1am. then he was up and running around, but only for an hr. or so....so that wasnt too bad. :wavey: :animal37 |
Personally - I think it's hard to wear a little Yorkie pup out. My is most playful in the evening, and I'm the one who gets tired - not him! It really sounds like your pup is getting as much exercise in the evenings as most little dogs get. Again - try getting his little tummy full closer to bedtime. Other than this, I don't have a clue what you can do. I really think you have a nightowl! It's too bad he can't just get up and play with his toys for a while and not bother you. Is there anything you can give him that might keep him busy for a while at night (something to chew on or a toy)? Carol Jean |
