3 Dentals Thursday
 
Tiki, Karlee and Kayla are all having their first dental cleaning on the same day, and I'm a nervous mom. I debated about having them done on different days, and it just worked out better this way since the vet is an hour away. All my worrying on one day, then it's over.

They have had their pre-op bloodwork already, I know this is safe and necessary, still I have the jitters, as we all do when they go under anesthesia.

So, please send my girls (and me) some good vibes Thursday. They check in at 8:30 a.m. and out by 4:00p.m.

I totally understand your fears...I'm the same way. Even when I do the bloodwork, doesn't matter, still scares me to put them under. Your babies will all do wonderfully - I know they will!

I am nervous about Teddy's first cleaning but I was told that he didn't have to undergo anesthesia for a cleaning..I dunno.


Maybe that advice will change when the time comes but I'd be nervous either way!

Will be thinking about you and your pup's today. I'm sure they will be fine but, I know, you still worry. My 11 year old just had her first dental and a loose back tooth pulled. I was so scared. She breezed through it, thank God.

Thank you my sweet YT friends for your support. I know you really understand how nervous this makes me, and I also know things will be ok.

The fur girls are not happy about not getting food or water this morning, and we head to the vet in an hour. I gave them baths yesterday, they are so cute and clean and smell wonderful. I'm taking their fluffy crate pad beds, hopefully the vet will allow those so they will be comfy being caged today. I'd better quit talking about it and get going. It will be a long day and won't get home until evening.

Sandy, it is really good to have them all done in one day. I know they will do very well and I also know how we Moms worry just the same. Let us know how it went when you can.

YAY, I am happy to report that they all did just fine and the vet did them early on the schedule so we were able to come home 3 hrs. earlier than expected.

I was nervously shopping to kill some time waiting, and SOOOO relieved when the vet called saying they all did perfect, and no extractions. They are soon turning 6 and 7, and this was their first dental, and I feel so lucky since I don't brush their teeth.

Thanks again for caring for my lil girls.... I'm going to go take a nap with them now. The vet said they will still be "out of it" somewhat for the rest of the day, and to only feed them 1/2 of their usual dinner, if they are interested at all. They whined lightly all the way home, but not once we got here. Ahhhh relief.

Whew! That was triple the concern - can't help it but we are all "concerned" until we know these babies are awake from any procedure. I know you had to be tied in a knot but better to get it over with all at once than one at a time - that would just be asking too much. Put your feet up, snuggle those dear little babies tonight and enjoy the rest of your evening knowing it's all over with for another year. :)

Wonderful news! I am very happy for you and your babies. No extractions, I'm impressed too! That makes recovery easier. Enjoy all of the fresh breath with those puppy kisses. :)
