Amy is a hard sleeper also. When she is asleep you can play with any part of her body and she never wakes up. It use to scare me but I am used to it now. If you do wake her from a deep sleep, she is very annoyed and gives you the dirtiest look she can muster up. Then I feel really bad. |
Quick question - do you hear them snore? Is that a good thing or bad thing? I already decided to adopt a 3 year old cutie at the adoption agency (I have a home visit tonight). When I went to see her, the foster mom said she snores quietly (you can only hear it when you are really close to her). I always thought that snoring meant respiratory issues with yorkies. Is that right? |
The other night I woke up because I was too warm; I figured Piper, who was underneath heavy blanket w/me must be quite warm as well. So I reached down and pulled this sound asleep, boneless little meatball up and out of covers. And there she is panting away, lolling about like a little ragdoll and blissfully sound asleep. Yep, my little girl can definitely "sleep hard!" "If you want the best seat in the house, move the dog." |
Meh, the only time my girl, Kimchi, sleeps "hard" is if she's been sleeping when the TV has been on and somewhat loud. Cause the TV is going, most other sounds gets drowned out/mixed in. Otherwise, if it's off or she's in another room sleeping with the tv muffled, she's an incredibly light sleeper X_x; I could try to walk quietly by her and she'll wake up, ironically, if I just walk normally it's a 50/50 if she wakes to it or not, lol Also, she sometimes snores really loud, but it's random. Occasionally she'll snore softly. Then sometimes she "snores" when she's not quite asleep but trying to sleep, but she's obviously still awake. ^^;; |

Both of mine sleep really hard. Its scary to go to wake them and not get a response! But, it can be funny when they're having dreams in that deep sleep. Gwenni will sometimes bark, growl, and try to run sometimes in her sleep. |
Poppy is the exact opposite!! I open my eyelid during the night and she bolts over tail wagging!! It's like she senses I am going to wake!! |
mine is like the Tasmanian devil if he's startled while sleeping |
