Long over due update! I have been away for several months taking care of my dad who had a life saving surgery and is acting like my Roxy after I've been away. Thank God!! The last time I posted it was about a little lost yorkie that my son saved. Well I'm certain it does not come as a surprise to you 2 or more yorkie owners that after several weeks of hoping to find a home what I thought was a one yorkie home has now become a home filled with the love from two yorkies! Because we called him Lil Dude from day one we have continued to do so. Dude weighs 3.8 pounds and had obvious signs of being abused. He is now comfortable with us and no longer snaps when you reach out to touch him and his appetite is great. Now that I'm back in our own home we are working on some better potty habits. He's a sweetie and Roxy has adjusted well.We travel often so I'm sure I'll be sharing the challenges of traveling with 2 fur kids. It's pricey to take care of 2 but we are making this work! |
I am glad the little lost Dude found a good loving home. I took in a 9 year old Yorkie (displaced due to a divorce). He was not abused though, so I was lucky that he is a well rounded adult. He was maybe not given enough attention, but not abused. He is now in a home where he is adored and he is thriving. It is amazing what some love and attention can do to an animal. Mine has only gotten younger in the almost 2 months he has been with me. The other family didn't have the time to play with him and just love him. They had little kids and busy lives. I am a stay at home mom who spends nearly all day with my little dude (Teek). Good luck with the new addition and your previous one as well. I hope the new one adjusts fully and learns to love you the way it sounds like you love him. |
