??? re: bows When we first got Maddie, they put a bow with an elastic band in her hair. Well, when i went to take it out, it was SO tangled, i felt SO BAD! So i went to the store and bought infant velcro bows, but she can shake them off her head, and then eats them! ( well i get them out, but she tries) i just ordered a set of doggie bows online, adn they too have elastic bands is this how they normally are???? because i cant get them in her hair regardless.....anyone else?? |
Yes that is how they all come. I put an elastic band in first then I put the bow with the elastic band on. My females has gotten tangled too. |
THANK YOU! She looks so darn cute with them in, but i feel like its such a fight to do it and then it never works!! ps: your avatar puts such a smile on my face!!! |
You can also buy bows that have a clapse called a "french barrette". I use these at times alone and sometimes with a plain band underneath. What I do is spray a little leave in conditioner (i use coat handlers but any good one would work) before I comb and apply the band. It helps keep the hair from knotting up, breaking off, and also protects it at the same time until you take it down. |
I buy the little old fashioned plastic gripper barrettes with the teeth. they just snap right in and out. You know LIke litle girl plastic barrettes ???? You have to get the TOTALLY plastic kind with lots of little teeth. the ones with the teeth and metal clasp don't work. ALL PLASTIC. Then if you really want to dress it up more you can hot glue a ribbon on TOP of the plastic. It really WORKS and is cheap and easy. Just a hint... The kind in Walmart that are little butterflies or ladybugs do NOT work . You need the plain old fashioned kind |
thanks you for all the ideas!! Madelyn will appreciate it!! :luvu: |
