How many Teddy is annoying posts can I make? SO, when I went to the vet with Teddy for his annual check up I was told that he definitely did not have a yeast infection or any other kind of infection in his ears. I asked because he scratches them constantly (as I write this he is barking on his side to scratch his ear and just fell off the couch...LOL!) and I was worried he had a horrible infection because he scratched them so much he yelped! WELL, apparently, the vet says he is stressed and the stress means he has low immunity so he will be sensitive to allergens etc. He isn't stressed for any reason apart from he's high strung and scared of everything so there's not much I can do except let him be himself. BUT, when he scratches his ears he makes this THUMPING with his back leg and it drives me insane!!! It put this song in my head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS3O5zg290k NOW, which is more annoying. Teddy or that SONG, AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! |
Teddy's sexy 'just fell off your couch' look 1 Attachment(s) Oh, and please don't worry he'll hurt himself. My couch sits very low (barely a foot from the floor) so he is fine. Just unkempt, now...haha. |
Your posts are entertaining! Post away! LOL Fell off the couch....I can picture that..... THwump! I'm going to pop a muscle in my stomach.. LOL Here, you can drive that song out with this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIVe-rZBcm4 or, this one's better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UWRypqz5-o |

Lol...your Teddy posts just crack me up...it's kinda like a min sitcom or something! :D |
I'll take Teddy's ear thumping over Chers beat goes on. Bring on the Teddy annoying posts, omit the annoyingCher vids, lol. Teddy looks like a "hot mess" cute lil guy. |
Awww he's so cute. I dont know how you can get anything done watching his antics. |
He is sooo cute!! |
Teddy being his cute self is a given... But I never heard this song before and I think I like it but... what's with the barn/cow scene?.... |
LOL, the song!! Sometimes they just itch there ears because they are itchy from allergies. Also they will shake there head alot. Usually if there is an infection you will smell it or there would be discharge. Does he scratch anywhere else? Mine will scratch at his stomach and his ears and his sides and sometimes licks his legs so I know its allergies. |
I like your posts on Teddy... I can stare at that cute little face all day and I appreciate your sense of humor. |
How many T-posts?? There is no such thing as "too many" when it comes to your funny, sweet, honest, loving, hair-pulling, insightful, very clever, must-read posts!!! Please keep 'em coming! |
Sophie does the same thing and there is no infection or mites. I noticed it is worse after she is groomed. Someone mentioned to me that they use powder before plucking the hairs in the ears and they may be allergic to the powder. |
I am assuming that your vet took a sample of the inside of your pet's ear and looked under the microscope? There are more things than yeast that can cause itching in the ear. Don't think I would be happy with a dog that is that intent on itching not having a specific diagnosis. If he is "sensitive" than what is he sensitive to? what kind of tests were done to arrive at this diagnosis? If they cannot give you a specific diagnosis other than "sensitive" I would check out another vet. There should be an itemized bill that tells you just what tests were done. If you do not see more than one microscopic exam that should give you a hint. Your baby is beautiful, by the way. |

Oh, never thought of that! The groomer doesn't pluck his ear hairs but that would be something for me to check if I ever used another groomer - thanks! Quote:
The vet is a Yorkshire terrier specialist so have no reason to doubt what he told me but thanks for the advice! Good to keep in mind for the future! And yeah, he's cute - just annoying!:D |
