Yorkiemom1 | 02-19-2015 08:34 AM | Using a kerosene heater in a closed, unventillated room can create a problem with carbon monoxide buildup, as the oxygen in the closed off room is consumed. We use kerosene heaters at the deer camp cabin, but always mindful to leave a couple of windows open about an inch, just enough to let some oxygen into the cabin. I can not imagine what in the world other options would be for your breeder with no power.....cant let her dogs freeze to death!
With hurricanes down here, our issue of no power leaves us with sweltering hot temps at that time of year....so I have a generator that runs everything when our power goes off....that could be a safer option for your breeder. |
